April 14 2016 was mine and my sister's birthday. We where turning 9. I was always liked in my school of Belmont Elementary school in BC, Canada. We where walking down 40th Avenue to reach 205A street. it's not that far of a walk. Maybe Five minutes at the most. We had a dog named Bear. Bear was a leonberger.( a Saint-Bernard, Newfoundlander and Great Pyrenees) He love playing around are quarter acre lot. Back then it was a rancher. My parents where planning on moving. To. Alberta. The cold province. Well to someone from BC it's like Antarctic. So back to my story. Lyra my twin sister and I where walking down 40th Avenue towards 205A street. I was walking with my head down just thinking about moving. What would everyone at the new school think of me? Would they hate the fact I was in French? All these thoughts going through my head with Lyra talking about her day in the background. I didn't even notice a mist ahead of us. First Lyra walked into it and inhaled. As soon as she did... she started coughing. That caught my attention. I looked Over at Her wonder what was wrong. That's when I noticed the mist. Or more like it the Glimmering Blue mist and the multi colored mist. I just walked into the multi colored mist! How could I have not noticed! Like OMG. I must be blind. Same with Lyra obviously. My lungs hurt like heck. I still remember the pain I felt just trying to breathe. But as soon as it started it stop.

" it's my tree get off"

" Omg Lyra where not on a tree" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Um I didn't say anything Glim"

"Yes you did dont lie to me Lyra"

"Glimmer Shade Fair I'm not lying"

as I heard the voice again I saw that Lyra's mouth didn't move. I looked all over to find the voice. Then I saw it. Squirrels fighting over a dang tree. Omg I heard a squirrel talking. I almost Fainted. It scared me soo bad. Lyra opened her hand and started talking again. Alot of Light started floating in the air above Lyra's hand. She looked over at it and screamed. Well at least I handle my oddities better. She closed her hand and started running around like a chicken with its head chopped off. Literally. I started laughing so hard a ball of fire shot out at her. Of course it missed but that sure stopped her. My face went pale. almost like Snow. How the heck did the happen.

"sis that wasn't you was it Glim?" Lyra looked at me terrified.

I just said nothing put on spotify and started walking again. Did I almost kill her? I was sooooo Glad that she was running around.

"Lyra,"

"Mother, father and ,lil bro cant hear a word of what just happened." I blurted as soon as we walked to the door. she just nodded and kept walking. We tried acting normal but that was hard for Lyra since I was always quietly listening to music. Who knew that would come in handy? I couldn't Sleep at all that night. Then of course something new turns up. My bed was now covered in Ice.
