Chapter 123 - I have enraged the Milli-Spiders

Aile then guided the mount to One, and he asked about the journey. One told him that they met a few monsters, but they were dispatched by Hazel's team. Aile asked a few more question to determine their progress to exit. They had only travelled 20 percent of the way. This was due to travelling at night. But none the less they were close to getting into the outer area of the sacred mountain.

Meanwhile, Four was giving the flushing Violet a look. Noticing his gaze, Violet looked at him and immediately got a victorious smile on her face. This annoyed Four and seeing his expression Violet rubbed her face on Aile's back in spite.

Three immediately calmed down Four, "Hey Four, why are you enraged?"

"She is very annoying."

"Huh, why does that even matter the boss has to deal with her."

"Humph, like I said she does not deserve..."

Three interjected, "You are looking at this in the wrong way."

"What do you mean."

"You are in such a good situation."

"What is it, just say it, I don't like it when you are like this, acting all mysterious."

"I am saying, if the boss likes this girl, you can claim that you had a hand in this. And you can also tell Zero about how you tried to stop him, from getting another woman. That way, both people will appreciate you."

"I am not slimy like you...humph... I just do not like her. Look, she has no shame, acting like this in public. What will everyone think of boss."

Aile then got the information he needed and moved towards Ellie.

Seeing the direction they were heading, Violet moved a little back to remove any hints between herself and Aile.

"Hey, I heard you were concerned about me, I am fine now. Thank you for worrying," Aile said to Ellie.

"Humph, I was worried about myself," Ellie said.

Aile just smiled at her, which made her drop her gaze. Aile then asked her a few more question which cheered her up, and they conversed. Violet too joined in the conversation. After a few minutes of that, Ellie said, "Can I talk to you alone?"

Aile noticed the grip of Violet tightened around him. Aile thought that she was angry at Ellie for not trusting her, so he placed his hand on hers to comfort her.

Then he looked at her and said, "Can you move to Ellie's mount for a bit?"

Listening to his calm tone, she nodded and jumped to Ellie's mount.

Ellie came to Aile's. They went further away, and Aile asked, "What do you need to ask?"

Gritting her teeth, she said, "You told me that when I make my decision to leave and stay with mom, you will help me. Can you still accomplish that for me?"

"I was never planning on letting you go back to Marcus, he does not care about you. Therefore I was going to take you to Diana and help you if you ever need it. However, you might have to move towns. If you stay in Port Kiar, it will not be safe for you?"

Ellie held her hand forward, trying to hug him as they were riding the mount, but she stopped halfway after hearing him and said, "What about you? Will you also be in this new town?"

"I do not know, I will be all over the place. If I am close, I will visit."

Ellie immediately rejected Aile's suggestion in her mind, "I was thinking you have a high position in the Moon Merchant Guild's adventure union's team. Maybe I can join it too. I have the training, and I promise not to be a burden and train harder than all of your subordinates..."

Seeing her enthusiastic tone, Aile said, "I will think about it, after all, Diana has to agree."

"Thank you," Ellie hugged him from behind.

"Ok... ok..."

"Oh, Ellie, I think your friend is not happy, you should console her," said Aile.

"Who? Violet?"

Aile nodded.

"Why would she be mad at me?"

"Maybe, because you decided to talk to me alone, away from her. She might think that you do not trust her."

"OH... Can you take me to her?"

"Sure, you two talk it out."

Violet, for the first time, had felt jealousy and anger towards Ellie, When she asked to talk to Aile alone. She had somehow gotten accustomed to being with him, but the second she left him, her emotions acted up.

She realized that she had changed and decided to stay away from Aile. She thought, 'I have become too close to him.' On top of that, what made her question herself was the fact that she was willing to be angry towards her best friend. Ellie had always been there for her, so she did not want to see more of Aile until she finds out what happened, and she makes a mistake in this mindset.

She then speculated that maybe Aile was the problem and started to worry about Ellie being close to him.

I can not let Ellie stay with him. What if she also starts to get irritated at me or decides to follow him.

Violet then saw Aile coming towards her, and she got an involuntary smile. She forced her smile to change into a frown and was prepared to forcefully take Ellie. Just then, Ellie jumped to her mount and embraced her. Her worrying mind calmed down and returned a smile to Aile who was leaving. She immediately rebutted herself, 'Why did I smile back at him.'

The two of them started to converse. However, it was unnatural for the first time. Ellie realized that she will be leaving and did not know when she could meet and talk with Violet again. Therefore she was not fully present in the conversation. Violet felt guilty because of her actions, and she had a lot on her mind. Her subconscious and new emotions were influencing her. Occasionally her eyes involuntarily searched for Aile.

After travelling for two hours, they were finally out of the inner area of the sacred mountain. Everyone was mentally tired after the long journey. Therefore on a relatively flat plain, they made a stop for longer rest time. It was for 4 hours. The group of people were divided into two. First one would sleep for two hours while the second one guards and eats, then the groups would change what they were doing.

Aile's group got the first shift to rest. However, they only packed three tents as they would only need three to sleep. They planned for 3 to nap, while the other three kept guard. However, there was a problem, One and Two were standing next to the first tent. Three and Four next to the second. Violet and Ellie next to the third.

Aile looked at the girls making them flush red and said, "I would have liked to relax in my comfortable bed." As he looked at Violet and then said, "Since I can not do that, I will keep watch, you guys rest."

Violet realized that Aile was referring to her when he said comfortable bed and humphed. She had a complicated emotion as she entered the tent with Ellie.

Aile was already rested. Therefore, he decided to meet Hazel. Aile sneaked into her tent and entered and saw her with an annoyed expression. After chatting with her, he found out that she was angry because she had seen him hug Violet as he was sleeping. Only after massaging her and tenderly hugging her for a long time did she calm down. Then she took Aile into her embrace and nestled into his bosom. Aile also took this opportunity to take advantage of her. After a while, they were both snuggling together very closely. Hazel became less worried seeing that Aile's interest did not dim down for her after seeing his behaviour with Violet. Like this, they were just silently enjoying each other's embrace.

"You said you will explain things to me later?"

"Of course," Aile then explained to her the beast's powerful aura and how he managed to control the structure of the mountain, turning the rocks into lava and almost killing him.

"Sigh, many innocent people will die," said Hazel wistfully.

"Many more than you think," said Aile.

"What do you mean?"

"I have enraged the Milli-Spiders, they would also block their path of escape." Aile knew Hazel's caring nature, so he did not want her to know that the soul herbs that he got for her would result in people's death. Therefore Aile took the blame to make it easier on her.

Hazel had a complicated expression then returned back to her previous one.

"If you are unhappy with my decision, just tell me. I do not want you to keep your emotions bottled up."

"I know that they are our enemy, but most of the people that follow them are innocent. Next time can you try to limit the hurt to those that control them."

Aile gave her a gentle kiss and nodded, "If that is what my lover wants."
