Chapter 217 - A Gut Feeling!

Only one person in their close group had fire element, so only when she was there to heat up the small cold spring lake did they truly enjoy this place. Aile thought about it and realized that if he drew a few runes on the rock that gather heat and drop them into the water, it would turn it into a hot spring. That was his plan, and he planned to make this into a private area they could enjoy. It took Aile a few minutes to think of the solution as he listened to Anna.

Then Anna showed him a small shrub that grew very sour berries that she loved, and she made Aile try one. Aile did not like it, and she was disappointed. However, Aile told her that he might have a solution. She was curious and soon found out what he meant. After she ate a berry, Aile kissed her soon after and tasted the berries' flavour in her mouth and exclaimed, "delicious."

She was embarrassed a little but was not too shy as she had another one after.

Like this, the two of them spent a few more minutes adventuring around the house, and she asked, "Do you want to know where I stay?"

Aile, of course, agreed.

"Ok, I will take you there, but you have to make sure no one sees you!"

Then they arrived back into the building where they stayed. Aile has followed her and avoided a few maids. As each event was making Anna's heartbeat rise on every occasion worried that they might find something between them. She was just being over cautious as everyone had things to do.

Soon they arrived at a small room that was not too far from Sara and Sophie's. The room had her scent, and Aile jumped on her bed as she finally realized that she had forgotten another detail. Her room was not in the best condition, and she lost another opportunity to show off in front of him. She quickly started to organize a few big things, such as some of her clothes on the carpet and opening the curtain to make the room brighter. Aile found her room very different, and her scent was everywhere, and it had a slightly citrusy taste to it.

It seems it came from the berries she likes to eat. While Aile did not like it on his first try, he started to love the flavour mixed in her mouth. So it was quite appealing to him now. After the large things were organized, she noticed that Aile was lying on top of a few clothes.

She was in a hurry in the morning and did not put them back in their places. Aile had observed everything in the room and noticed she was not like a noble at all, she did not have a lot of things, and her things were not expensive. They were all medium-ranged, having both quality and style. Her room had a corner dedicated to books that were on herbs items, cultivation and more. This confirmed her claim that she had been trying to improve on her cultivation.

Anna arrived on top of him, who was lazily lying on her bed and asked, "What do you think?" As she said that, her eyes landed on her undergarments lying on the corner of the bed. Aile teased her and picked them up, "I liked the ones you wore yesterday..." Aile knew that she was talking about her room, but he could not help tease her and see her embarrassed face.

This made her turn red, and after averting her eyes and hearing his laugh, she said bravely, "If you want a comparison, I can try them on."

While she said that with a straight face and boldly, her body's reaction gave her away, and her thoughts were clearly visible on her face and neck as they soon turned crimson. After a little more teasing, she was pouting and was, in fact, enjoying such playful behaviour.

She did not get to experience much of this before, but now not only was Aile spending time with her. He was also bringing a smile to her face. Due to this, she was also getting a resolve to try to please him. She knew that their fate was already linked. She was hoping that now that the first part is already established. She would try to strengthen the connection as much as possible.

Aile saw her start to daydream a little and pulled her into his embrace. He was really in love with her soft body. Just holding her was something he could enjoy, and her cute attempt to find the most comfortable place on him was too pleasant.

"What do you seek in women, and what should I do to be as close as the others to you?"

Aile was surprised yet again to see her behaviour of just dealing with the problem head-on. It was not something he expected of a noble they all try to get the information indirectly.

Aile did want to answer immediately. But he was not sure what to say. After all, he was not sure what attracted him to his women. There were many more of lower status and higher status in Port Kiar, but they never made him feel the same. The same could be said here, the house was filled with females of different qualities, yet he was not attracted to them. Some might even be more pretty or curvier, but that was that. Aile's answer surprised her, "A gut feeling!"

Anna did not want to hear that she wanted a clear goal to reach. But Aile's answer did not give her the response she desired. Anna frowned and was thinking of how else to approach the problem. She was thinking that Aile was still teasing her. Aile realized that she had a goal in asking that question and simply replied, "I am already attracted to you. With time, our relationship will be as close as the others."

She did not give up and asked, "Then what are qualities you would seek on a person you want to marry."
