Chapter 219 - What is altruism? 

Aile was brought back from his thinking when the magistrate said, "I heard about what happened yesterday with Miss Sara and Sophie. I am very sorry I should not allow such a thing to happen under my leadership. I hope this situation does not develop into a battle in the town, and it could be dropped."

Aile was aware that she was worried. Fiona's plan of creating fake tension between them and the noble clan of the town started. Plus, she was not happy about her demanding tone either. Who would be happy, seeing the person they care about to be ordered around?

The magistrate was getting a bit worried.

She nodded at his statement.

"Since the magistrate is so forgiving, I don't mind acting like those nobles either here. With your forgiving nature, I am sure you do not mind." Aile continued to walk towards her with a callous expression. As he looked at her body to make her afraid of what he will do.

"What do you... who..?" She was scared. Normally, her bodyguards would follow her everywhere. However, she had trusted Fiona enough to not worry about that. Now she was regretting that.

Aile arrived in front of her and slapped her bottom. He wanted to get rid of his anger. That has been building up in a while.

His outburst was definitely not worth the problem it will create. So he left before making things worse. He also needed to find a way to improve his light element as quick as the dark element. This is because with the dark-element reaching almost the second level, it would be harder to control his emotions. Not to mention, he did not want to make an impression on her, as it would increase the chances of being investigated and recognized. However, now that plan went out the window.

He finally understood the need for the swing and a little greenhouse in the buildings that Fiona and Emily spent most of their times. Talking with nobles and royalty required one to free their mind after, and rocking on a swing to calm down is absolutely a necessity.

As his light element calmed him down, he started to think about strengthening it more. After all, if his emotions control him, it would create all sorts of problems for him.

Since greed works by taking people he liked as lovers, he decided to try the opposite.
