Engagement

Amara went outside and cried. While on the way back to the orphanage, Luke saw Amara. Seeing Amara cry, Luke went to her and comforted her. After calming down, Amara told Luke that her father wanted her to be engaged to Charles. Upon hearing what Amara said, Luke became furious.

An hour later, Marquess Ronald realized that Amara was not in the house. He got worried and told his wife, son, and guests that Amara couldn't be found anywhere in the house. As they were looking for Amara, Charles looked in the window beside the dining area. He saw Amara together with Luke outside and he immediately told Amara's parents. When Amara's parents went outside, they saw Luke and Amara hugging each other.

The Marquess ran to them and he angrily said "Let go of my daughter!" Luke and Amara was startled and they quickly removed their hands off each other. Then Amara's father grabbed Amara's wrist and pulled her away from Luke. Her father said "Stay away from my daughter! She's already engaged to Charles. Don't even think of pursuing her again!" Amara interrupted "Father don't talk to Luke like that! Luke is the only one I love. I will never ever love Charles! I'd rather die than be with him!" Charles interrupted "No matter how much you hate me, our engagement will still be pushed through!"

Then the Marquess slapped Amara and shouted "You unfilial daughter! How dare you talk back to me and say those things about Charles!" Hearing what her father said, Amara cried and hugged her mother. Her mother got mad at her husband and told him to be more considerate. With the Marquess's frightened look because of his wife, he quickly went back in the house with Charles.
