Arrival At the Quinn Household

"Who are you?" One of the guards asks.

"My name is Lin Ke. Is this the house of Master Sal Quinn?" Lin Ke replies in a polite tone.

The guards look at each other. Then the first guard that spoke says, "Ah, so it's Mr. Lin Ke. Welcome welcome! Master Sal told us to let you in when you arrived." The other guard opens the door. "Well, come on in. I'll lead you to the house."

With that said, the guard turns around and walks through the front gate with Lin Ke following close behind him. All around him were neatly trimmed fields of grass, along with patches of flowers and other plants, all positioned and managed perfectly. The mansion didn't have a traditional feel to it, but in fact looked quite modern-ish. 'How odd.' Lin Ke thought to himself. 'Maybe the other people that came to this world also brought along architecture.'

Then, another thought occurred to him. 'Would he be able to meet these other Reincarnators?'

"No, that wouldn't be possible." Lily says cutting off his train of thought. "You'll never meet them in this world, as they came about a few hundred years before you… However…." Her voice trails off. "Anyways, just do your best to improve your abilities as an artist."

After saying this, Lin Ke suddenly feels soft fur tickling his neck. It's Lily. She sits down on his shoulder and closes her eyes. Thankfully, the guard didn't look back, otherwise he would have seen a cat magically appear out of thin air.

When the guard arrives at the front of the mansion, something surprising occurs. He pressed a doorbell. This, of course, surprised Lin Ke a little. 'How did they have doorbells in this world? I thought there was no electricity?' He thought to himself.

"Those aren't the doorbells you're familiar with. These ones take the True Energy of the person pressing it and converts it into sound. This is how this doorbell operates. The person who made this was quite a genius… Unlike you." Lily cut in.

The door opens to reveal a beautiful spacious interior. The main hall is large and brightly lit with chandeliers powered by what Lin Ke could only guess to be True Energy as well. There was a young lady standing in front of the doorway. It's Lia Quinn, the granddaughter of Sal Quinn, and she was here to strangle, ehem, play with the cat.

"Ah! Lin Ke! Welcome! Come in, come in! Grandpa is waiting for you!" She ushers Lin Ke through the doorway, and gives the guard a smile. "Thanks a lot, Uncle Tim!"

The guard smiles, "No problem, Miss, I'm glad to help." It seems as if Lia is well liked by everyone in her household, even the guards. After all, it's not often you get a girl from a well-off family being so courteous to people inferior in status to her.

Lia leads Lin Ke through the main hall and through a few hallways. While walking, Lia speaks up. "Lin Ke? Why does Lily always try to escape from me but doesn't run from you? Does Lily not like me? I've always wanted a pet but Grandpa says they're a waste of time and I should focus on learning."

Lin Ke doesn't know how to answer her. 'Is she not conscious of the fact that she's practically choking the cat everytime she holds her?' He thinks. 'Hm. Maybe this is a good chance to teach her so that Lily doesn't need to endure more pain.'

"Well… The thing is… You squeeze Lily too tightly when you hold her… I don't know if you realize it or not, but cats, and almost every other pet, doesn't really like that." Lin Ke says calmly.

Lia freezes. She has a bashful look on her face, making her appear super cute and lovable. "Am… am I really?" She turns to Lily. "I'm so sorry if I hurt you Lily… I didn't mean to! I guess I just used too much strength without realizing it because I was so excited!" She has a very truthful and sincere face. In fact, it is even enough to move Lily.

For the first time, on her own accord, Lily jumps into Lia's arms, and gives her a small meow. Lia was startled, but the moment she got over the surprise, she was practically beaming with joy. This time, she carefully strokes Lily's white fur with one hand.

Meanwhile, they had arrived at a large spacious room with lots of furniture. If this was Lin Ke's previous world, this would be called a living room, however, he had no clue what the people of this world calls it. On one of the couches sat a tall man giving off a mysterious, but very powerful aura. It was Master Sal Quinn, wearing casual clothing, where while he was wearing a very formal cloak and robes earlier, now he was wearing a T-shirt and shorts. It was quite an odd sight to behold, one of the most powerful people Lin Ke knew, wearing clothing styles of his previous world.

"Ah, Lin Ke! Take a seat, young man." Master Sal gestures at the couch opposite of him. In front of him is a coffee table with a few steaming cups of tea. "I've been waiting for you. We have quite a few things to discuss…"

Lin Ke sits down on the couch opposite of Master Sal, while Lia sits down on the left hand side of Master Sal, with Lily still in hand. Lily was looking quite content with her location right now, and had her eyes closed. However, she suddenly frowns, as if she thought of something unpleasant.

"Lin Ke…." Lily suddenly begins. "Remember how you asked earlier what realm this Master Sal guy is in?"

"Yeah? What about it? Did you finally check it? What is it?" Lin Ke answers in his head.

She pauses, her voice held a trace of apprehension. "He… he… I don't know."
