A Talk with The King

Lin Ke and Lia entered a large chamber. The high walls were decorated with matching colors and banners, extending all the way down the chamber. Near the top of the walls were beautiful ornate windows that went down the hall, allowing the light to stream into the chamber.

A long red carpet was laid out from the door, leading all the way down the chamber. Flanking the carpet were circular pillars that extended up toward the roof way overhead. On both sides of the red royal carpet were rows of guards, each standing at the ready with their chests puffed out in pride and their spears pointing toward the ceiling. Each spear seemed to reflect the lights coming from the ceiling. From the top, the roof was covered in panels of jadelike glass mosaics that refracted light in the most interesting manners.
