The Sorcerer Puts His Guards Up

There were little words exchanged as the two of them stood before the tomb. XueYa had already set a tray of fruits and buns ready over the white stone table.

Incense burned. The tangy scent wrapped around them like a cape, giving a feeling of familiarity.

A gust of wind travelled over the hill, raining cherry blossom petals over them and the tomb.

XueYa didn't speak, he only let his fingers brush over the name carved on the white stone. LiangLin wanted to ask him many questions, but he couldn't find a way to part his lips, voice them out. He only watched the relaxed smile, the bright eyes that seemed content with this moment in time.

"LiangLin, how do you like this place? Does it look peaceful?" XueYa asked when he stepped back from the tomb.
