Nine Cloud Tribulation Physique

In a courtyard prepared for Kai, he sat in the lotus position sifting through memories that once belonged to Akasha.

'How do I train her to be the best her?' Kai asked himself.

"Her comprehension of blood laws is superb. She has martial talents. Young with high cultivation. Fifteen years old and a Black-Gold fighter. Her weapon of choice is the spear, and she's a descendant of Wei Xiao Bao...'

Kai's memory fluttered and reorganized themselves. In nearly an instant, a memory floated prominently in Kai's mind. '

Kai's eyes snapped open, "Blood Lustrating," he muttered. "This can be the way to tap into latent abilities and increase her potential."

Kai then focused on his World Egg. Space bent in on itself, transporting Kai into the world created by Wei Xiao Bao.

Walking across the land to a place he coined Blood Fiend Valley, Kai appeared before a blood river.

"So, the memory was true."

Once he had taken control of the World Egg and slaughtered the Blood Fiends. Kai had buried them all in the valley with respect. He had no idea the Blood fiends liquify and create a river of blood.

In one of Akasha's memories, some high-born races would bathe the younger generation in blood pools to strengthen their legacy and bodies. Blood Lustrating was one of the highest baptisms a youth could undergo during the foundation years.

Kai then turned away and entered the grand palace. There he found books on the specific Blood Lustrating rituals practiced by Blood Fiends. When he had done enough reading, Kai returned to the outside world and was surprised to see Guan Yu waiting in his courtyard.

'It's already morning.' he thought.

"Wei Guan Yu. Do you really choose to become a disciple? If you do, then you must bear my mark for eternity. Even the slightest act of betrayal and you will receive divine punishment."

Guan Yu was startled by Kai's sudden appearance. Once she regained her wits, she answered his question without the slightest waver. "Yes."

Kai nodded and created a Body Inscription infused with the laws of Life. Kai thrust his palm forward, and the Inscription scorched itself into Guan Yu's back.

Guan Yu collapsed in pain. She gritted her teeth, her muscles contracted, yet she still could help but cry out in pain.

As Guan Yu panted on the stone floor, Kai spoke, "Now we are bound together as Master and Disciple. Get up. The future will be yours if you learn how to endure."

Guan Yu struggled to rise to her feet. Kai didn't help, nor did he feel sorry. He watched Guan Yu struggle until she completed her task.

She now glared at Kai with her back straight and chin up. Her beauty, body, or talent wasn't going to save her from his cruelty. As her back still throbbed with pain that attacked her spine, Wei Guan Yu decided to become a true cultivator.

Kai smiled, "Good. Where we're going, no one cares about being a Black-Gold rank 15-year-old. You aren't a genius, and your beauty isn't worth shit. And maybe your body might qualify you to become a cauldron for someone in the demonic sect to fuck."

Guan Yu took a sharp breath due to her master's harsh and profane words. She felt wronged, offended, and in disbelief of his words. She realized her title a the Blood Demon Clan's young miss meant nothing.

Kai smiled, "You'll learn." he said before slapping a suppression seal on her. "Now, let's begin."

Kai tossed Guan Yu a weighted practice spear and took her back to the basic. He wanted to train her according to the Blood Fiend manuals.

For weeks, Wei Guan Yu trained. Guan Yu's practice spear became an extension of her. Guan Yu's meals were stripped of garbage, and her education was furthered to broaden her perspective.

"Guan Yu," Kai called her as they ate their meal in his courtyard.

"Ahh, sorry, Master." She stammered.

"Why are you so distracted. Are you worried about the nine layered death lands?" he asked.

"I worry about my family. The Lord of Nether's disciple selection is approaching.--"

Kai Sighed. "Guan Yu, you are a good young miss. But you also have a good clan. They worry about you. They hope that you will reach the pinnacle of existence because they believe in your greatness. Whether they decline or prosper after you leave is not what matters now. What matters is that you succeed. That is why they cook you the best meals from ingredients that cost a fortune. Your servants care for you in the night even when I tell them not to. Your father and the elder give you elixirs and pills to help with pain even when I tell them you must endure."

Kai gave his disciple a soft smile.

"Master, I promise I didn't use any of the pills or elixirs." Guan Yu received a burst of energy and avidly denied any wrongdoing.

Kai chuckled. "I know. And I can tell you a million things to console you. But the facts are, you have a greater destiny than the Blood Demon Clan of the Nether Realm. You may have doubts today, but tomorrow. Tomorrow you will not regret it."

Kai grabbed a lump of sliced meat, placed it on Guan Yu's plate, and then continued to eat his meal. Though Guan Yu had her worries, she knew her master wouldn't let her suffer.

After a good meal, Kai and Guan Yu sat across from each and stared at a paper sheet with one significant word written on it, 'Spear.'

After a few moments, Guan Yu groaned and threw her head back in frustration.

"If you want the suppression seal removed. Understand this word. Clear your mind and focus. From now on, you will stay here until you understand. The only time you may leave is to practice the spear. It will help your comprehension." Kai rose to his feet and left Guan Yu alone.

As his disciple struggled with her latest task, Kai had gotten word that Yang Xin and Mikoto had returned. He was now meeting them at their old dwelling.

"Kai!" Yang Xin squealed as she leapt into Kai's arms.

Yang Xin squeezed him tightly. He could feel her strength, but it wasn't that of an initial Black-Gold rank Demon Spiritualist.

Kai freed himself from her hold, then stared intently at Yang Xin.

"Fifth rank Black-Gold. Our luck was good out there", Mikoto explained once she saw that Kai had noticed Yang Xin's increase in cultivation.

Kai tilted his head, "How so?" He asked.

"A demon beast at the Legend rank appeared. One of them a Thunderbird."

Kai was still a bit confused, though he did not show it.

"Kai, the cultivation technique that you gave Xin'er is heaven-defying. She would be dead now if the technique hadn't allowed her to refine the thunderbird attack."

Kai stared slack-jawed. He then eyed Yang Xin and began to study the changes to her physique.

'This...Is it even possible?' Kai tried his best to recall a memory that could explain Yang Xin's transformation.

Mikoto noticed his confusion and spoke out. "Kai, take a closer look."

Kai's brow wrinkled as he grabbed Yang Xin by the wrist. The moment his qi infiltrated her body, enlightenment hit him like a whirlwind. Her body had become the perfect vessel to house her soul realm, increasing her soul's quality.

"Nine cloud tribulation physique. That cultivation technique truly was the best for you. Your potential will be limitless as long as you have the will to take on high-quality lightning."

"High-quality lightning?" Yang Xin asked.

"Right now, lightning at the legend rank is enough to supplement your cultivation. But as you grow stronger, Tribulation lightning will be all that could supplement you. Nine clouds, nine transformations."

"So, I have reached the first transformation?"

"Yes. And the next transformation will cause tribulation lightning. Without the second transformation, you will never be able to achieve the heavenly star realm, but when you do. You will be nearly unbeatable in your realm." Mikoto stepped in to explain.

Yang Xin was at a loss for words, but her chest swelled with gratitude. Before she met the Ashikaga couple, she thought her greatest achievements in life will be achieving the Black-Gold Rank and become the President of the Alchemist Association. Now she looked at the world with new eyes and yearned for something greater.

"And to think you almost settled as a small world alchemist with lower-tier formulas." Kai chuckled.

"To think the great Kai overlooked immense potential in a woman, let alone a cultivation technique that you yourself gifted." Mikoto mocked him. " I guess we all have our flaws."

Yang Xin tittered, and Kai wondered when the woman became so close.
