Vaslavis Clan: The Past (6)

"Mommy, when is daddy coming?" Zarya asked, yawning as she had just woken up from her short nap.

Instead of responding, Threya only patted her daughter's head. She didn't know herself. It had been almost a day since they left their settlement, but they still had a long way to go.

The children had been grumbling about every single thing that irritated them. The adults, on the other hand, tried to console them as much as they could. Making the children cry was the last thing that they wanted to happen, considering that the noise would certainly attract their pursuers.

Hearing the children's complaints, Priveya tried to recall their path ahead.

Priveya raised her head at that instant. She then turned around to face their group.
