"Your fate will depend on your answer. The longer you delay your response, the worse your punishment will be."

Zekhyr's threat didn't help in encouraging the maid to speak. It only made her want to keep her silence even more. But, of course, there was no way that she would surrender to her desires. 

The most appropriate thing to do at that moment was to confess. Although she wasn't aware of how truly frightful Zekhyr could be, the maid didn't want to reach a point that would force the man to engage her in an altercation. 

Almost immediately, the maid lost strength in her legs. She dropped to the ground, her knees hitting the carpet first. The maid lowered her head as she rubbed her hands together.

"My… My Lord, please… Please forgive us!" The maid pleaded, desperation evident in her voice, "We didn't mean to do that! It was an accident."
