Bocahr Settlement: The Group (9)

Zarya, or the entity that had overthrown the real her, grabbed Lavern's neck. The woman couldn't do anything but repeatedly slam her forehead on the ground. 

Lavern was trying to get out of Zarya's clutches, but there was no chance for her. There wasn't a sliver. 

If she had been fast with her escape, she could have at least moved out of Zarya's hold. That was as far as she could get. 

Now that the little girl was on to her, unless Zekhyr was able to convince his daughter to back down, Lavern would be meeting her creator soon. 

"Let… let go! Let go of me!" The woman shouted, beginning to shed tears out of fear and helplessness. 

What Lavern heard next made all of the hairs on her body stand on their ends. The chillest of winds embraced her skin. The sensation of boiling water gliding down her throat visited her. 

Zarya was laughing.
