Bocahr Settlement: The Group (11)

The gloppy sound of flesh being forced to stretch.

The rupturing sound of blood spurting in all directions.

And the most harrowing of all, the piercing scream of a man who was at the end of the attack.

Zekhyr heard everything.

He wanted to go and rescue Karveshe, but he was petrified. It wasn't because of him. It wasn't because of the emotions he was feeling.

Something invisible was wrapped around his body, like veins covered with the stickiest of mucous. Zekhyr attempted to struggle out of it. But to no avail, he couldn't make it budge. He couldn't even take a single step forward.

One at a time, Zarya dug through Karveshe's eye sockets with her small fingers. Though her fingers were short and thin, her nails were double the length and as sharp as the glints on her malicious eyes.

While she was amusing herself by torturing Karveshe, the grin on Zarya's countenance grew wider by the second.
