Zarya: A Dream (3)

"... Erwin," Zarya muttered as she looked from afar.

I could see my younger self, battered and exhausted. But I didn't feel pity for myself. I just looked at Erwin as if it was the last time I would be able to see him.

Little did I know, it really would be the last time.

This dream… It wouldn't last for an eternity. It would only last until I opened her eyes to the cruel reality.

"That potion… I should have known that you needed it. I should've known that you were also hurt."

Now that I was looking at the old man's back, I could see the long gash at the back of his left leg. It was a claw mark, evidently enough, running from right under his buttocks down to the back of his knee.

How could I not have seen that?

How could I have been so selfish to take the potion for myself?

I knew that I had no choice back then. The man forced me to drink the potion in order to liberate me from the pain.
