Romanoff Dukedom: Plan (36)

As he turned his head to take a peek at the surveyor, Ulysses held his breath. He didn't want the slightest of sound to alert his target.

Once he was able to get a glimpse of the surveyor, he narrowed his eyes at them. He wanted to send no hostility.

Ulysses had already discarded the idea of fighting. What they had to do was to escape the forest as soon as possible.

Being seen by the surveyor would be the same as showing their intentions to the Elders.

'Good, they haven't moved yet. There's a path I can take to escape.' The young man thought as he was done observing the surveyor.

But, once he returned his gaze on his path to escape, Ulysses was petrified by what was in front of him.

On the other end of a branch was a person draped in a black cape. He couldn't see their face, much less their hands. He wasn't assured at all to know that the surveyor wasn't wearing a cape.
