The Aftermath

On the wake of last night's engagement debacle. The news of CEO Lu's infidelity had taken a drastic turn for the worst. His companies stocks were dropping and the Sheng family were not speaking to him.

"Who the hell gave that gift?!" Lu Han screamed! He was so mad and threw his drink down and it broke into a million pieces upon contact with the marble floors.

He was still wearing his suit from last night, standing in his living room pacing back and forth. He hadn't slept a wink all night and he looked tired and disheveled. Trying to rectify the situation with the Sheng family but he was getting nowhere. Sheng Ziyi refused to speak with him and her phone was now currently off.

Xu Yun was sitting on the sofa with mixed feelings. While she was listening to his tirade, she was secretly happy that their relationship had been exposed. She wanted to rightfully stand by his side as his woman and not a mistress. Although she felt this way, she didn't show it on her face. Knowing Lu Han's directive he wouldn't be happy with her train of thought. She loved him ever since he started dating Li Na and accepted all of him, even the dangerous side.

She knew that could become canon fodder to his ambitions she didn't care as the gain outweighed the losses. With him she could become a rich woman and live in luxury. Her family would be well taken care of and most importantly she would have him.

She sighed and said "I'm sorry darling, I shouldn't have come to the enagement party, then none of this would have happened."

Lu Han looked over and hugged her. "It's not your fault, someone is trying to ruin me. When I find out who it is, I will skin him alive!"

An evil gleam could be seen on his eyes as determination to find out the culprit who ruined him, was top on his list. He picked up his cell phone and called his secretary. "Give me the guest list from last night and any video footage you have of the gifts area"

Meanwhile at the hotel Liu Wei was busy gathering her things to prepare her move to the Liu Manor. Right as she was walking out she saw Su Kai waiting for her.

He looked so hot in his navy blue business suit. This man could probably give her a mini orgasm, just by creating on his handsome face. She approached him and said "What a beautiful sight first thing in the morning, are you waiting for me?"

He had a small smile forming on his face "Yes, would you like to have breakfast with me?"

Liu Wei was thinking she would like him for breakfast hahaha yeah she definitely wanted this man. She smiled and said "sure, as long as your paying. I'm always willing for a free meal"

"You act like you're poor" he says laughing.

"I am poor... poorer than you!" she deadpans and looks at him before stepping into the elevator.

A boisterous laughter could be heard from Su Kai. If his secretary saw that scene he would have been speechless and probably fainted from the sheer shock. His CEO never laughed, ever! It would be a miracle if anyone saw him with a broad smile let alone a joyous laughter.

They ate at the four star restaurant inside the hotel. As they were eating they were both surprisingly comfortable with each other. It felt like they've been together for along time that a long stretch of silence wasn't an awkward feeling. They didn't need to fill the silence with endless and meaningless chatter. It was a bit puzzling but Liu Wei didn't think too much into it.

"When will I see you again?" he asks

"I'm not sure, I might be busy in the next couple of days. I have to get acclimated to living here and with my family."

He was sad that he wouldn't be able to see her for a while. "What will you do for work?"

"I'm not sure... I'm guessing I will be thrown into the Liu Family business." She says while stuffing a potato in her mouth.

"I do know a thing or two about running a business, so come to me if you need help" he offered.

She beams at him and says "ha! you said that! don't take it back. You might regret it later hahaha I might bug you all the time! Who doesn't want a hot business teacher?"

Upon hearing her teasing, he starts coughing on his coffee. She immediately gets up and pats his back trying to stop his coughing fit. His secretary who was sitting only a few tables back had his mouth wide open. When did his boss allow anyone to touch him without his permission and not get angry over it? He had to blink a few more times to dispel the doubts.

"You are brazen" he softly says with laughter in his eyes.

"It's probably because I spent most of my time abroad." She winks at him.

After they ate breakfast, Su Kai was reluctant to say goodbye. He was staring at her intently when all of a sudden she came up and hugged him tightly.

"Thanks hottie for last night and breakfast. Let's do this again soon" She beamed at him and walked away to enter her car. Hugging was normal in the States and Liu Wei was used to that way of interaction especially with someone who was kind to her. She didn't think too much into it.

Standing at the steps of the hotel was Su Kai in an immobile position. He was taken aback by the hug just now. She felt warm and smelled like flowers, it felt good. He wanted to experience that feeling again. Ever since he could remember no one had given him such a warm and genuine feeling. He was hooked, he wanted more of it.

"Find me opportunities to accidentally bump into her this week." he says to his secretary.

"Yes sir!" wow when did his boss ever get infatuated with a woman. It was usually the other way around.
