Queen Ceres

There were so many things running through Liu Wei's mind that it was hard for her to wrap her head around all the mind boggling information that she just heard.

So let me get this straight, this guy is saying that I was a Warrior Queen from some far away planet who is centuries old~!? Wow, that doesn't even make sense at all.. she thought, it was just so far fetched.

She had never even in her past life believed that there were aliens living out there and now she's one of them? Isn't that just crazy talk? But... what about these three men she just met? the way they dressed and talked was definitely out of this world. How do you explain that? She could choose not to believe this Prince, but how do you explain all of her enhanced abilities? There were just so many what if's. As much as she tried to reason her way out of this, there was really no way of trying to explain the glaring facts staring her in the face.

"Tell me, if what you say is true shouldn't you be back in your home planet trying to convince your Queen? Isn't she family? How about your father? Also you never really mentioned your name, all I know of you is that you are a Prince." Liu Wei was curious about this strange Prince.

"My name is Maxim of the Terra Blood line, I'm the 5th Prince of Eris and my strength isn't as great as that of the Queen let alone my other siblings. In Eris, especially within the royal family strength is the driving force, without it you won't get very far. My father is currently bedridden from some unknown ailment, but I believe he has been poisoned. My siblings are afraid of the Queen so they are all subservient to her, I on the other hand spoke against the atrocities she had done on one occasion and she burnt half of my face for insubordination." He said as his hands gripped the handles of the throne on which he sat on.

One could tell that he was remembering that day and what a horrible experience that must have been for him.

"As you must have surmised she does not like opposition, be it from her advisers or her own family."

"Didn't you say that she was once my disciple? If that's true why did she become a tyrant?"

Prince Maxim was recalling the past and so many emotions could be detected from his face. The plethora of emotions from happiness to sadness and then to helplessness swiftly played on in the span of a minute. He slowly opened his mouth to narrate the story of the past.

"She wasn't always like this, she was happy when you were the Queen. She loved you very much and idolized you. But on the day that you chose my mother to become the Crown Princess, she started to change. I suppose it was because she had the idea that you would pass the throne to her even though my mother was also your disciple. My mother explained to me once why she had been chosen Queen, and she said that it was because her master saw that she had a pure, strong and unwavering heart."

It was apparent that Prince Maxim was having a hard time speaking about his mother. He was visibly sad and was holding his emotions in check.

"My mother, Queen Eileena ruled Eris for 200 hundred years and then she was killed. It was said to have been an assassination attempt when she was outside of the planet but I have a feeling it is not what it seems. There's no proof of foul play but I can't help but think otherwise."

"Wow... I'm sorry to hear that. So, from what I gather you are looking into her death then?"

"Yes, secretly... as Queen Junep forbids anyone to mention my mother. It's as if she wants to erase her completely from the peoples minds.. I think the jealousy of being 2nd place in your eyes made Queen Junep crazy. After my mother ruled Eris for the first 100 years, you proclaimed that you wanted to leave and explore other planets. You felt that you had achieved all that there was to achieve in Eris and wanted to venture onto new places and meet different species. My mother was sad to see you go but Queen Junep threw a fit. She didn't want you to leave her behind but she also didn't want to go with you either because she felt all the other races were inferior to the Warriors of Eris."

"In order to keep you by her side, she poisoned your drink so you were at your weakest and took your sacred knife made of Red Erite and plunged it into your heart. You once mentioned to my mother and Queen Junep that you could never die and that you would just go in deep slumber. With this in mind, she wanted to keep you by her side even if it meant that you would be incapacitated. But to all of our surprise you actually started to break apart little by little like bubbles, your essence started to fly out and scatter everywhere. One of my spies saw this and captured one of your essence as it was flying out and kept it in a bottle for me."

"To this day we don't know why you didn't fall into deep sleep but we hoped that what you said was true. We hoped that you were in fact unable to die, so I kept your essence with me. At first it was to comfort my mother to have this piece of you with us. But after 100 years nothing had happened and our faith was failing us. When my mother passed away, I was going to bury the essence with her but then it started emitting a strange energy. It kept trying to fly away and so under the cover of exploration I left Eris to follow your essence trail and my instinct finally did not fail me for it has led me straight to you."

Prince Maxim was hoping against all hope that whatever he found at the end of this trail would be the original Queen. He was excited and happy to have met her again, even though she does not remember him. Of course her face is much different from what she once was in Planet Eris for gazing upon her beauty would leave every man weak in the knees. Even some of the women worshipped her because of her beauty. Her current self is indeed beautiful but it pales to her previous self. Regardless of her outer beauty, it was her inner beauty that he had fallen in love with.

Yes that's right Prince Maxim like all the other men in Planet Eris was secretly in love with Queen Ceres. She never had a consort or a King by her side. It was as if she was waiting for someone to come to her, so all the men thought that she just needed to find the right person. They all tried and even the advisers tried to force her to have a sire and birth children. But she would always kindly refuse and it would be swept under the rug. The beings of Planet Eris could only live up to 500 years old and through cultivation could they stay looking young.

Prince Maxim was considered a baby even though he was only 200 years old. He remembered when he first met Queen Ceres, she was like a beacon of light coming for him. His so called friends were bullying him for being weak. He had a weak body so it was hard for him to cultivate so he often was bullied. She walked in and held out her hand and said "Do not worry child, you are special in my eyes". She was so ethereal and beautiful and to have her say that to him during the worst time of his life made him eager to gain her approval.

He started cultivating non stop to where he was no longer called a weakling. She made him rise to his full potential by those words alone. Ever since then he had been in love with her. At that time he was already 20 years old and a man by the standards of Earth but still a child as far as potential on Planet Eris. Regardless he vowed that one day he would reach full strength and ask her to be his wife. And now she is finally standing in front of him, the woman that could save him and Planet Eris. His heart is now at ease, what started off as a whim actually bore fruit. He was glad that he followed his instinct for it lead him straight to her. His Savior.
