Communication Device

"What other abilities do I have?" Liu Wei asked Maxim.

"Apart from having telekinesis, moving at the speed of light and conjuring anything with a snap of your finger. You are also insanely strong, those are the powers that you've shown us on Planet Eris. I'm sure you have a multitude more... but I'm not sure what they are. "

Liu Wei pondered more on that and realized that her life will be so much more complicated with each new power that pops ups. Regardless, she told herself that she was going to enjoy this life to the fullest and deal with the consequences after. If she's going to be changing then she will embrace the changes for the better.

"What are your plans? Will you stay here for the entire conference?" Liu Wei asked him.

Maxim smiled slightly and said "Wherever you are is where I'll be."

She gave him the side eye... this guy is going to be trouble.

"So basically, you will be my tail? I don't like that idea, I can perfectly take care of myself." she said frowning at him.

Maxim was elated by how cute she looked at the moment and burst out laughing. "You are still the same old you! Never wanting anyone to protect you or take care of you. Here is a crystal shard, if you ever need me you just need to hold it to your forehead and say my name and I will know your location."

"So it's like a GPS device? You know there are things called cellphones nowadays. You can just use that to communicate with me."

Maxim of course knew of these modern days communication tools but he still preferred his way. But he wasn't a hard person to deal with so if that is what she wants then he would oblige. "I have heard of them yes, I can purchase one if that is the form you want to use"

"Well yes, because people will think I'm crazy if they see me putting a crystal on my head and talking to it for no apparent reason. I'll probably end up in the looney bin!"

Looney bin? what is that? Maxim was lost but she seems like she prefers this method. "I will rectify it right away." He quickly looked to the corner of the room and a man appeared next to him. It was one of the men that Liu Wei had already met, it was Maxim's subordinate.

"Purchase a cellphone for me." he told the man.

"Yes, my prince" and off he went. It wasn't even 30 minutes and he had already returned with a cellphone in hand.

Maxim looked at Liu Wei with an I have no idea what this is and how to use it look.

Liu Wei started to laugh at his innocence and proceeded to help him with the device. This is the moment where Su Kai saw them, with their heads bent close to each other looking at a cellphone. Something in his chest constricted, and all he wanted to do was claim his woman so that the other man would know to back off.

Of course Maxim could tell that there was an icy glare directed at him and knew that it was Su Kai. So he did what any normal man would do, he tried to make him jealous by making Liu Wei laugh. So it looked like Liu Wei was having a blast with him. It worked because the temperature around Su Kai plummeted, he was giving off a death glare that would kill any normal weak being.

Liu Wei raised her head when she noticed that something was wrong and saw Su Kai standing a few feet from them with a frosty look on his face. Of course she knew that he was a tiny bit jealous but she didn't think it was that big of a deal. She smiled at him and asked him to come over.

Su Kai wanted to do more than just come over, so he directly grabbed her waist and kissed her in front of Maxim. It wasn't a short kiss either, which embarrassed Liu Wei as they were not alone. She pushed him off and said "Stop that, we are in public!"

"Yes, I know" was all he said and smirked at Maxim.

The two men were giving each other an intense gaze, it was a silent challenge between them. If they could they would already be wrestling then and there but they were after all gentlemen and would not resort into a cat fight where everyone could see. Maxim knew that she was seeing Su Kai but that did not deter him since he knew that she would have to leave Earth soon anyways.

He would bid his time.

"You must be the investor... I'm Su Kai, her boyfriend." Su Kai says as he reaches out to shake Maxim's hands.

"I'm Maxim, and Liu Wei and I were having a great time talking about our future partnership." He says while also grabbing onto Su Kai's hands for a handshake.

The two were still locked in a handshake after a minute but you can tell that they were both trying to inflect the other pain by exerting a lot of pressure in that one handshake. Neither was going to stop so it was Liu Wei's duty to stop this childish behavior.

"That's enough you two, both your hands will fall off at this rate."

They both let go at the same time and smiled at her.

Su Kai wanted to never leave Liu Wei's side, he knew she was a beauty and that there were many men that already found her attractive but at least he could deter them with his background. This mysterious man in front of him was different though, he was not intimidated by him at all.

Maxim was also assessing Su Kai up and down but he found that this man was not worth his time at all as he did not have a very favorable view of the human race. He is from a warrior race and his view on humans were that they were weak and greedy. So his outlook was very bleak and he did not dwell too much on it.

"Liu Wei it was pleasure to speak with you, but I must get going now as I have other business to attend to. You have my number, please feel free to contact me should you need me and I will be there."

Liu Wei simply smiled and nodded her head.

Su Kai did not like the sound of that at all.
