Endure

Hyemi

The first family first son

This was normal for the past two millenniums, humans had changed from just living a mere two hundred years to three hundred if their power that manifests was strong enough it can help lengthen their life up to five hundred years, while those with the elemental or immortal gene lived for thousands of years deeming them immortal but those were extremely few. For Hyemi and Hyuen, they aged like most humans from birth to the age of eighteen they aged every year freezing into that form for the next twelve years aging every year for the next ten freezing once again until their hundred year after that the process continues once every ten years until they become too old and die.

Still, that also did not fully adhere to matriarch side of their family who held the blood of elementals natives to this world and also known as immortals paired that with their father's lineage who had manifestation dormant in their genes they were deemed a first class family but not good enough without any elder males besides the five young males and to make matters even worst not one female had been born.

Their mother who was close to one hundred and fifty was not even able to remarry but she had no desire to anyway so even considering it was not worthwhile.

Leaving the room in a somewhat foul mood by the drop of temperature around him Hyemi said nothing further, he could not because he had to endure by waiting.

Endure.

Endure and continue until the time itself arrived for him to strike, for now, he should only nurture his brother's future wife.

after all, it will still, in the end, benefit him.

All that had to be said was said, all that had to be done had been done.

No need any longer both will return to school soon to complete their studies at the age of thirty.

Entering his study Hyemi's shadow appeared falling on one knee right hand on the left breast area, his head slightly bent in acknowledgement of his master who stood like an immovable mountain before him, then announced his presence in a respective tone.

"Master I have returned,"

Hyemi looked down at the kneeling shadow before gesturing for him to rise.

the male in question stood tall back straight this shadow in question had been bestowed to him from the elemental clan of his mother's lineage; from his birth, Castri Boris who was from the second branch clan born from a concubine who died shortly after.

At the tender age of fifty, he had waist-length sky blue hair streaked with midnight blue. At eight feet Castri was the true image of the natives born to this world from countless generations but compared to pureblood he was known as nothing more than a mongrel. Never the less to Hyemi he held value enough to be acknowledged as a close servant.

"Gaui is an orphan that we have accepted due to the fact she had miraculously survived an attack by assassins. She is obviously more than meets the eye,"

Hyemi scoffed after stating plainly these words fighting his inner turmoil while walking across his study Hyemi picked up the small cloth holding it tightly in his hands as if this thing was worth more than the countless collections within his study.

"You have seen the body of your aunt the third madam,"

"I have, she was a foolish woman, desiring to enter a family because of her eldest born sister,"

Carrie's replied, his tone though respective lacked any form of emotion, normally one would feel somewhat pained at how female relative of a master had died but Castries was not bothered.

this relative truly was foolish!

Looking at the sloppy stitching on the cloth in his hand Hyemi sneered, he can not understand these conflicted feelings. wishing to pocket this simple material stitched sloppily and on the other hand wishing to place it behind a glass away from prying eyes and hands.

"Your mother is a powerful woman,"

"Of course, she is, if not wouldn't she be dead countless times over by now. Report what is Guai doing now?"

"She has started running, our shadow lost her in the deep forest,"

Hyemi slammed his fist down trying his best to control his displeasure.

How can he like such a slip of a girl; why? This tiny female had so many flaws mainly that she lacked many virtues a woman should have.

Even if customs that were common in the ancient world had been abolished by many major family clans it was still taught.

A woman's hair is bestowed by her parents, her speech is flawed, she lacked parents, a background to depend on upon... So many flaws, that his dislike rose boiling over like liquid lava which flowed in the immortal river between realms.

"She dared! This child dared!" Hyemi suddenly roared in rage unable to contain his dissatisfaction anymore.

Castro, his shadow guard felt as if he would die from the backlash alone and tried to placate his young master by rushing to say;

"Young master please stay calm, please stay calm... I am sure everything will be -"
