Thump! Thump!

Mo Hua's heart was pounding rapidly. She could feel her heartbeat… every single pound in her chest.

"Umm... Me too…" Mo Hua blushed when she replied.

"Why were you so late? All okay?" Yan Xuan's concerned voice fell in her ear warming her heart.

She knew what he was asking about so she decided to tease him, "Are you feeling jealous already, hm?"

Yan Xuan on the other side of the phone suddenly froze. He never thought she would see through his thoughts irrespective of being face to face.

He decided to confront his feelings and be open about them with her. So with all honesty, he said, "Hmm, a little or maybe a lot. He seems very close to you. Is he?"

Mo Hua who was expecting him to deny him being jealous was surprised to see his honest reply. Her smile widens in affection. Her expressions turned tender and gentle.

"Aqua King is jealous? Now that's a surprise." She teased him again.

"So what? I am a man with feelings. And all my feeling are now associated with you. So of course I feel jealous when someone else is close to you other than me." He replied bluntly.

Mo Hua was left speechless with his bold reply so she stooped teasing him as she understood he can get even blunter if she continues teasing him. She cleared her throat as said, "Don't Worry Xuan. Liam is just like my elder brother and we are close because we grew up together. Moreover, he stood by my side in my worst phase of life so he has seen me suffering terribly. So please don't misunderstand."

She paused for a moment and then said, "Xuan, there is something you don't know about. It's about my dark past. Can You give me some time to open up? After that, I will leave the decision with you about us."

Yan Xuan was listening to her with all attention. His heart was able to feel the sadness in her voice. He was not sure how but somewhere in his heart, he could feel her pain. He suddenly had the urge to go and hug her right away.

He took a deep breath to control his urge and spoke, "Baby. Take as much time you want to open up there is no rush. Also please don't feel it as an obligation to tell me about your past because it doesn't matter to me."

He paused and closed his eyes remembering her innocent little face plastered with a cute adorable smile and said, "Only thing matters right now is for you to be with me. And I want you to open up only because I want to share your pain and not to judge you. So there will be no change in my decision no matter what."

"Xuan, how can you be so sure? My past…" She tried to reason with him.

He opened his eyes with firm determination and said, "In this life, we are already together and nothing can separate us. Okay?"

Mo Hua's eyes were filled with tears threatening to fall anytime. As she was wiping them off, she made a little sniffing sound that wasn't unnoticed by Yan Xuan. His mood became gloomy immediately.

"Sweetie. Please don't cry. I don't like it when you are helpless or crying." He waited for her to respond but even after a few minutes, he didn't hear her voice which made him even sadder.

"Mo Hua, I am coming there in 5mins. Come downstairs." He got up from the bed ready to leave when he heard her sweet voice again. Although it was a bit sad still made him calm the very next moment.

"Xuan! No, I am okay. I just can't control my tears when I think about my past." She tried to express her fear, "I am scared. What if…"

Her sentence was midway cut by Yan Xuan, "I am not sure about your past incident but now you don't have to be scared anymore. I won't let anything or anyone bully you. Trust me. Hmm?"\

"Xuan. Thank you so much for coming to my life. You came like a ray of hope in my dark life. I really can't express how happy I am right now. Please be honest with me and our relationship. That's all I ask for."

"Sweetie, I promise to you that Yan Xuan's heart will belong only to Mo Hua in this and coming all lifetimes. Else it will not beat any longer."

Mo Hua snorted loudly and giggled, "Isn't it too cheesy? I never thought that a serious person like you is into such hopeless romantic things."

"Anything for you baby." Yan Xuan chuckled.

Seeing his mood was normal, Mo Hua asked him, "Xuan, Liam wants to go for breakfast tomorrow. He wants to meet you. Are you willing to meet him?"

"Can I deny it?" Yan Xuan asked promptly.

Mo Hua was left perplexed for a moment and then said, " Xuan, it's okay if you are not comfortable meeting him right away. I just wanted the two most important people in my life to get on good terms with each other. Let's plan some other day. I will let Liam know later."

"I know it is inevitable and bound to happen in the future. So let's not delay. I will pick you up and we will head together to the restaurant. Okay? " Yan Xuan replied.

"Umm Xuan, I might not accompany you as XiXi and the rest will be accompanying me. Let's meet directly outside the restaurant." Mo Hua was feeling guilty when she heard him.

" Okay. No problem. I will bring Sheng Tao and Rong Chi along with me then. Let's meet at 7.15 am then." Yan Xuan tried to sound cheerful even though he felt a little bad. He wanted her to accompany her not only because they were heading to the same place but also because he was getting eager to see her again.

"Sounds good. We can plan our adventure park trip as well then." Mo Hua said with a teasing tone.

Yan Xuan immediately regretted what he said before about bringing his friends together as well.

'What just happened? Did I just get myself in trouble? Oh god! Stupid me….' He thought.

"Ugggh… Mo Hua, can I skip? We will go somewhere else together?" He tried to find a way out. He didn't want Mo Hua to find out about his fear, at least not right now.

Mo Hua had an idea about his fear so she tried to sound miserable. "No Xuan, it's my favourite place and I want you to accompany me just like we were together in a Haunted house."

"Really! Just like that?" Yan Xuan asked her with hidden meaning. His face showed a devilish smile.

Mo Hua didn't get the hidden meaning and replied, "Hmmm. Just like that."

Yan Xuan understood that Mo Hua didn't get the meaning so he continued to tease her, "So are we going to kiss as well?"

"Xuan... You are shameless.." Mo Hua hollered at him when she understood what he meant.

Yan Xuan laughed at her reaction and tried to continue his urge to tease her further.

Mo Hua was left speechless by his response, when she heard him saying, "Only for you baby…"

He continued, "We will discuss this tomorrow, hmm. Now take rest and sleep well."

Mo Hua answered, "Me too. Good Night Xuan. Can't wait to see you tomorrow." and with that, she disconnected the call and fall into a deep slumber dreaming about the beautiful day tomorrow.

Whereas Yan Xuan was lift shocked and thinking, 'Wait! Shouldn't this be my line?'
