58. to perform...

In the Dean's chamber...

As ChunHua waited for the dean to come back, she played with a beautiful paperweight, well, as weird as it sounds, it actually resembled a stack of A-country's dollar notes... ChunHua couldn't help but scoff, she would rather use a real bundle of such notes than a cheaper version~

Then she thought about how she could just make some company sculpt her head in gold and use the same as a paperweight... that sounded good to her ears actually...

No, it didn't.

She was actually BSing so that her mind didn't wander off towards YuTang and in the off chance, if she did ask someone to cast herself into a gold statue, she would rather make a one with her Little bun and herself as they rode on a gold car...

Anyway, when the dean saw ChunHua, he couldn't help but be shocked and nervous, he knew this woman too well and her being here when he had actually done something illegal was jarring!

On the same note, ChunHua happened to be one of the very few patrons of this establishment and her weight was more than Li Yichen in the dean's mental map of hierarchy.

"Was Young Master Li the one to order all this hoax, which you were ready to allow?", she had the tone of someone with authority and power as she sat with her legs crossed, one upon the other in a very lazy fashion, but her eyes sharply focused on him.

The doctor couldn't get any hint of anger in her voice, but his many years of experience told him that something was definitely off and he better choose well the words he was about to say.

He gulped his saliva with GIKU sound and spoke in a very diplomatic tone, "...I received a call from his assistant this morning. He asked for an interview and a pregnancy test in the afternoon. This is very normal and so, I accepted it... I just never thought that he will take it to this level..."

ChunHua gave him a look and smiled as she said, "..is that so? Well, I didn't want to interfere in the first place. I think I have done enough for you people to know that I support the idea of your welfare, but in the off-chance...", her smile now was tinged with thorns, "..that even after all that, I see injustice happening to an innocent person... even I will get angry...", as she said this, she got up followed by the dean who knew what her stance was... she just wanted a fair judgement and by no mean will interfere in whatever decision they reached.

She gave him a business smile, "...no need to get up, doctor. I hope to have the same respect for you guys even after this incident ends...", though her words were very simple, the hidden pressure was definitely immense and after she had said her part, she suavely walked out.

The moment she left his office, the dean gave a emergency call to the doctor in charge of today's tests.

He couldn't find the reason why this heavyweight in the business circle came in person to warn him, but he would be an idiot if he still followed the previous notion of keeping one eye closed and giving an answer in favour of this so-called 'victim'... they will be safe if they chose to give neutral answers as always.

.....

YuTang was transferred to the general ward where the doctor gave him a routine check before asking for a guardian as he was still unconscious... but as expected no one showed up.

He was a doctor and no matter how others spoke about a simple 'cold', he would still do his job professionally... he ould see that he was exhausted because of the fever but otherwise in good health... he seems to have taken good care of himself as it was not the first day of his fever, he liked people like this. So even when he saw that it wasn't an emergency case, he asked a nurse to call him when he wakes up, he would still do a few tests to give a healthy card.

ChunHua could only cover her face with a mask and could look at him from a distance, there were too many people here, neither could she shift him to single room nor could she walk up to him and stay beside him... for the time being, at least until he got his consciousness back and that woman's tests were done and the result was out, it was also difficult for him to go out... and so, it was at this moment, that ChunHua decided,

' I'm taking him to a trip after this shit gets over with... the air here is a quite toxic for my Little Bun...', as she thought about this, she quietly left the place for the O&G* department to get a look at the woman and if possible, inflame her a bit.

For the record, the live stream was stopped for a little as no one was allowed to get a camera into a hospital ward where tests were being carried out... only the situation outside was displayed.

The netizens were in frenzy to know what was happening inside and many left comments, irrespective of giving a thought on breaching the privacy of other patients... all they cared about was their own entertainment.

Of course, not every one of them was like that, but it was very easy to ride on another's waves and the general direction when we are following something with such a large scale of participation... even the most rational of the people would find themselves asking this question once, "Am I really correct?"... the air was as such.

Just when ChunHua left the place, YuTang finally opened his eyes as they gazed at the door... before he tried to get up of the bed, he had a mission to finish.

Thinking about how caring ChunHua has been, even if it was just for showing her courtesy and how that woman was shouting around even when she could see that he was not well... the illusion that had shattered finally disappeared... he had entered a toxic relationship and has been suffering through all that by filtering them with the facade of 'love and sacrifice go hand in hand'... but if he could be this happy with a person he had just met for a few days and has been pressuring himself to 'sympathise' with that woman from day one... then he would rather remain single for all his life...

But thinking about something ChunHua had said once he couldn't help but smile as his mood lightened up... this relationship was a mistake and he had met a bad person... well, he will treat this as an experience and move on and thinking as so, he first called for the nurse, as ChunHua said, his health was his first priority now... the truth will come out in the end and it was a just about a matter of time and as for the people who left negative remarks about him without finding the truth... he didn't enter this line of work to perform for such 'audience' in the first place...

He entered this profession to follow his passion and just this much wasn't enough to get rid of that...
