[After Transition]
I am assaulted by the sight of current (or should I say former) Mayor Tate sat on a chair with his head down against a desk and with a bloody knife standing out of his back creating a pool of blood in his otherwise pristine brown suit jacket and I notice speckles of blood smeared across his face but before I can do anything Harvey finally get here along with a few of his officers and once he sees the inside of the room instead of panicking he tells a police officer to call forensics and the coroner here immediately but he is informed that the coroner has already left for Gotham City so that they could perform an autopsy on the body of Kevin Hale which Harvey groans at and laments at the fact that the murder had to happen at this very moment which I think is more than a coincidence and most likely planned for this very moment for some reason, at this moment Doctor Alex Nichols rounds the corner coming from the stairs and seeming to grasp the situation her face becomes determined as she immediately she offers her expertise and help in this trying time. "If you don't mind, I could do it. Seeing as the coroner isn't going to be here anytime soon, unless you want to wait for him which I don't think you do so I am the next best thing."
"Doctor Nichols. alright. Thank you, I appreciate it. In that case, until the forensics team arrives, could you examine him right away?" Detective Harvey Bullock thanks Doctor Nichols before showing her the way to the body but while they do that can't help but lament about the fact that I let this happen, I was right in the building when this murder occurred and for all my power and abilities, I still failed to prevent this murder. if I can't prevent the murder of this bastard then I am clearly not skilled or powerful enough yet to properly live my life here in this world, more importantly, what is Batman going to think when he discovers I let this murder take place right underneath my nose, another murder and this time I knew it was coming because of the message and the other clues but I didn't think the murderer would have the gall to commit another murder in the same building as the police and because of that I let another person die and it is unforgivable because I should have been able to prevent this with ease with my abilities but the murder threatened to commit another murder and then they calmly carried out their threat making a complete fool of me in the process so I can't let the bastard get away with such a thing.
"I haven't managed to do an in-depth examination of the body; I don't have the equipment for it but I have done everything I can with what is available to me. Based on that, I believe only a few minutes have passed since the victim Mayor Tate's death." Doctor Alex Nichols quickly finishes her cursory examination of the body as Detective Harvey Bullock, one of his forensic team and I watch on as he has sent everyone else off to do some other tasks that need doing as we stay in the broadcast room but as I examine the place I find it a little strange and weird as the walls are layered with some completely whit fabric or something that is dotted with holes and it covers the entire room and I think they are kind of like those sound board things you see in recording studios and things which makes sense since this is a broadcast room and they need good acoustics, I was more glance at the dead body of Mayor Karl Tate who has been stabbed in the back as he is sat on a chair and though I thought it was just a regular desk earlier I didn't get a proper look as I was too shocked by what I saw but what Mayor Tate actually has his head down against is the control station for the broadcast room and his face is smashed against the controls pushing into quite a few different controls and buttons. "T-that's it, just a few minutes?"
"Yes, it seems that you are correct. There is only around five and a half minutes of silence at the beginning of this tape of Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata's second movement, which means he had been dead for more than five and a half minutes before the song began. It seems like the killer used the same trick again as he used in the murder of Kevin Hale at the community centre, at this point I feel like there is less reason of this being to form an alibi and is more likely to be just a calling card of the killer or something of the sort." Detective Bullock says to Doctor Nichols who is rolling her sleeves back down after finishing her job completely ignoring the stuttered words of the forensics guy who is trawling around the room and looking for clues as right now he is crawling on the floor, again Beethoven' 'Moonlight Sonata' has been played with is being the second movement now and rather than be a calling card like Harvey Bullock thinks I believe there is more to it as it almost seems like some kind of countdown with something big happening when the last movement start or maybe the last movement signifies that the killer has fulfilled their objectives and will no longer kill again either way there is some kind of meaning behind this songs presence in this case and I feel like this case could remain an unsolved mystery if the meaning is not identified and brought to light.
"Ah, Detective Bullock sir. T-there is a musical score written in blood beneath the chair the victim was sitting in, right here see." The forensic who was scrounging on the floor for quite a while finally comes back up for air and point out the blood red musical score on the floor which makes Doctor Alex Nichol begin to back up and move out of our way as both me and Detective Bullock move in closer and crouch down to get a better look at the blood written musical score all the while the forensic fetches a camera and begins to take pictures of the score for evidence as well as a backup in case anything happens to this blood score, both myself and Harvey both observe the blood score by squatting down and looking at it with great detail but there is nothing much to note about it that isn't already obvious to the eye and so we decide to ponder just why this is here and why it was put specifically under the victims chair but while I continue to ponder Bullock thinks he has figured it out as he has a eureka moment and begins to speak his thoughts on why the blood score was there. "More musical scores, huh. you know what, maybe this could also be a dying message left by this fat ugly toad before he finally bit the bullet and croaked."
"No, it isn't. If Mayor Tate had the time and strength to write all of this in his own blood after being stabbed in the back, he would've rather shouted out and called for help from whoever was nearby rather than resign himself to death and think up and make an elaborate dying message for the police to find." I tell him while continuing to observe the blood score and figure it out but I wasn't a particularly talented musician and I was only forced to learn a little bit so I'm not able to properly read this blood score scrawled on the ground but there are other people around who can and it would be best to just leave it up to them, Detective Harvey Bullock getting tired of squatting down on his hind legs decides to get back up to his feet but I don't know whether it is because of his heavy weight or maybe he had just had a big meal or he was out drinking himself silly either way as he get up the Detective begins to dangerously tilt forward and then he does fall forwards faceplanting the ground but the most crucial thing about this is the fact that his large gut lands on the ground as well but this time it presses up against the blood score on the ground and I can barely even see it anymore on account of Harveys fat folds splurging out across the road and everyone in the room takes a moment to process what just happened with even Harvey himself taking a moment to reflect.
"Oh, oh shit. Sir, Detective Bullock. You can't lay down against that, it will destroy valuable evidence." The forensics guy immediately begins to panic as Harvey just lays on the ground and he immediately moves over and starts to try and lift Bullock off of the ground but realising that he can't do it alone he spots me and beckons me over to help him and so I do with the forensic guy grabbing his left arm and me grabbing his right and together we lift him to his feet where he finds stable ground again and quickly shakes us off ignoring what just happened, we all look back down at the blood red musical score and are pleasantly surprised to find that the blood score didn't even smudge slightly what with sweaty Detective Harvey Bullock pressing himself hard against the floor which must make the survival of the message seem extraordinary. "Thank god, it is fine. I don't know what we would have done I it was ruined; we might not have been able to solve the case."

"Let's jump right into it then, shall we? Mr Kyle Newman, you were the first person to discover former Mayor Karl Tate." Detective Bullock had gathered everyone in the main hall of this office building and by everyone I mean Doctor Alex Nichols, Karina Tate, her boyfriend/ husband or whatever, Kyle Newman, Mayoral candidate Shaun Masters who is now running unopposed and the butler Harold and right now two people in particular seems to be distraught and shaky with that being Karina Tate who is the daughter of the deceased and Kyle Newman who found the deceased first, Detective Bullock decides to question Kyle Newman first since he was the one who discovered the body and he would like to get an accurate stage of events. "T-that is correct, yes. Mayor Tate told me to meet him in the broadcast room at six thirty for some reason, that is why I was there but I didn't think he would be dead."
"Mayor Tate did say he was meeting someone this evening, though I don' know the exact time of the meeting. Are you sure that is what happened, and that you didn't tell him to meet you there so you could kill him?" Harvey accuses and I feel he is used to playing good cop bad cop in interrogations but unfortunately for him he can only be the bad cop since Commissioner James Gordon isn't here to play the good cop, I feel like this is going to get a bit tiring with the questioning again...
