Chapter Two

Rita's p.o.v

I woke up with a banging headache, most likely due to the amount I drank the previous night. I looked around the room, not recognising it, I noticed that there were clothes covering the floor. I felt someone move next to me. I looked over to see Michael. Neither of us were wearing any clothes.

Oh god what happened last night?

I got out of the bed and tried to get dressed as quietly as I could, trying not to wake Michael up. But that didn't go to plan, I noticed Michael move a little before he sat up, scratching his head.

"Er, hey Rita" he said, awkwardly smiling at me.

"Hi Michael" I said, as he got out of bed and started getting dressed. "I've got to get to work".

"Yeah I've got work too". I went to walk out of the door but Michael grabbed my wrist to stop me. ""Rita, I know we were drunk last night and I don't know if you remember what I said or not but I meant every word of it! I do really like you, so do you think that maybe we could see each other again? Without being drunk!"

"I don't know Michael! You're my friends brother, what will this do to Taylor?". Michael no longer had hold of my wrist, his hand hand gone down to my hand and was now holding it. It's wrong that I like the feeling I get when he holds my hand.

"She knows I like you! She expected this...the reason she made sure you came last night was so that I could talk to you. We've known each other for years and I hate that we stopped talking when I went to college. I want it all back, I miss talking to you! Do you think that we could at least start talking again and be friends again and see where that takes us?" he asked, his bright green eyes staring into mine.

"Okay fine. We'll see where that takes us" he smiled at me and nodded "I really loved last night by the way".

I know I wanted to wait for the right person but I really could have lost it to a worse person. Michael's a good guy and at least I don't regret it.

"Same here. You did great" he smiled, scratching the back of his neck. He still seemed to be really nervous around me which I find quite strange considering what happened last night. "Do you want me to drop you home so that you can get changed before you go to work?"

"That would be great, thanks"

Michael dropped my home and I ran upstairs to my apartment so that I could get changed before Taylor came to pick me up for work. I had barely gotten changed and cleaned myself up before I heart a horn outside. We both work at a cafe that's close to our high school. It's something that's easy for us to do on the weekends and get all of our work done. I do the odd shift after school but it's mostly just weekends.

"Hey!" Taylor smiled, giving me a cheeky smile as I got into the car.

"Hi?"

"You have fun last night?"

"Not! It was so boring" I joked.

"Well I think you had a lot of fun, and not much sleep to go with it!"

"What?" I asked, trying to play dumb. I don't know if she actually knows what happened between Michael and I or if she's just fishing to see if anything did happen, but I don't want to give anything away if she doesn't know.

"You know what I'm talking about! Don't act like you don't!"

"I really don't know what you're going on about Tay!"

"I saw you and Michael last night and I saw him drag you upstairs! I may have been drunk but I wasn't that drunk"

"Taylor I'm so sorry! I don't drink that often and...

"Rita it's fine" she said cutting me off "I'm not one of those people that say you can't be with my brother. I honestly don't care, he's a grown man and can date whoever he wants. As long as the two of you are happy and neither of you get hurt then I don't care"

I'm glad she's understanding of it all, the last thing I want is to loose her.
