A Dream of the Past

A spectacle occurred in the Sea of Disorder. A slender frame could be seen to rise from the battering waves. Many sects and groups had sent their strongest men to uncover treasures, yet none had returned alive. Before anyone could catch a clear glimpse of her face, the girl had suddenly disappeared.

(In Wei An's dream)

"Beautiful Master! Look! I planted all these herbs by myself!" A chubby 6 year old covered in dirt ran in circles around her "Beautiful Master". Upon a closer look, Wei An noticed that the chubby 6 year old looked like the younger version of herself that had gone through years of pampering.

"Wei An, don't bother your master! He's undergoing a crucial part of his training." A woman came from behind, carrying a basket filled with plants. Despite being disheveled from trekking throughout the forest, it did nothing to hide the unearthly beauty of the woman.

Suddenly, the skies darkened and a storm began to gather. Mini Wei An may not know what was going on up there, but the current Wei An could tell what it was at first glance. Heavenly tribulation! And such a big one at that! Not knowing what it was, Mini Wei An stumbled over to a massive rock and jumped up. The first strike rained down. The woman was screaming for Mini Wei An to get away from there, but it was too late. As the first strike came down with boom, Mini Wei An was struck squarely on the head. Wei An covered her eyes, not wanting to see Mini Wei An being roasted.

"Mother! That tasted so good! Can I have another?"

Slowly, Wei An cracked open her eyes, taking a look at the little child in disbelief. At the same time, the man that had been meditating stood up and stretched, reaching his full height. Mini Wei An was right to have called him Beautiful Teacher. His thin, rosy lips stretched into a slight smile at Mini Wei An's antics, his deep blue eyes curving upwards ever so slightly.

Suddenly, the scene changed. Meteors were raining down as millions of millions of people ran around in all sorts of directions. The sky was painted red, splashing with the blood of the citizens. In the middle of all the chaos, surrounded by murders of crows, stood a man, laughing in the misery of the folks. In fact, Wei An didn't notice this before, but now she saw the similarities between the "Beautiful Master" and the man right now. In fact, it was so alike, that they could've been the same person. Meanwhile, Mini Wei An was sitting with her mother on a giant phoenix. When they got close enough to see the man's features, Mini Wei An froze in shock.

"Beautiful Master! What happened to you? Why are you here?" Mini Wei An was shouting desperately.

Yet another figure rose out to the air. The man who had rose up to the sky had the same exact looks as the man who was behind all of the disorder.

Mini Wei An's face contorted in confusion.

"Which one of you is Beautiful Master? Beautiful Master, how did you split into two?"

Upon realizing her existence, both men dashed towards Mini Wei An, but the seemingly crazy man had reached her first, madly laughing along the way.

"HAHAHA! Wen Ya, did you think that you would have this day? This so-called incarnation of hers, did you really think I wouldn't try to eliminate the dangers?"

Wen Ya's face had turned dark with anger and frustration.

"Wen Tian! I won't let you off if you hurt a single hair of hers!" Wen Ya shouted in desperation.

"It just so happens that I'm nearing the final stages of immortality and need the blood of her incarnation!" Laughing wildly, Wen Tian reached out with his sword.

Shuddering in horror, something inside Mini Wei An finally cracked. Her head began to hurt, to the point that she was screaming and squirming. Suddenly, it stopped. Mini Wei An's eyes began to glow, and with a booming voice she shouted,

"I've been gone for only a few millenniums, and you have already gone into such a mess! Luckily, I awoke on time. Sighs, no matter, I can always reincarnate into a new body."

Just as she said those words, Mini Wei An's body began to glow with a white light, seemingly holy. Wen Tian's face darkened with horror. Without ever glancing back, he fled from the mess that he made. After Wen Tian left, Wen Ya finally reacted and dragged Mini Wei An's mother out of there. Before he left through the portal, Wen Ya glanced back.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't strong enough to protect you. I swear, I'll find you someday. I'll make it right again."

The white light eventually reached the magnitude of its power, and deteriorated, destroying everything that it touched with a thousand miles.

Once again, the scene changed. Instead, Wei An found herself standing before a fiery lava pit. A small piece of land floated on it. On the piece of land, a girl could be seen crouching, holding her head in pain.

"No! NO! I didn't do it! I swear I didn't! Why won't you believe me? You would believe someone over me? I thought we had promised to be together, FOREVER!"

Upon screaming out the word 'forever', the girl looked up at Wei An. It was Mini Wei An, but … why were her eyes red? All around her, shadows appeared, reaching for the little girl. Mini Wei An's eyes met with hers, and she froze in shock. A gruesome smile stretched over Mini Wei An's face, as Wei An woke up, drenched in sweat.
