Chapter 20 Burnt Battlefield

The dragons took off into the sky but as soon as they did they turned around and began to fly towards the battlefield once more. Burn them down... voices began to echo in her head burn them down... she heard again. She began to run back through the woods toward where the battle was taking place. But even she knew she wouldn't be fast enough.

By the time she made it to the battle field the dragons were flying in a large circle above it. "GET OUT OF HERE" she yelled to Daniel, Salana and Luna who was now beside Daniel. "WHATS HAPPENING?" Daniel yelled. "RUN" Seraphina yelled as she continued to run towards them.

Burn them down... the voices continued to echo in her head. "BARRIER!" Seraphina yelled, holding up her hands. Hundreds of barriers began to appear around everyone who was on her side as they stared up in confusion.

The dragons flew lower and as they did they opened their mouths and simultaneously let out breaths of fire all along the battle field. "NO NOT LIKE THIS" Ilaric yelled as the fire burned him alive. "Ahhh" Seraphina screamed as she fought to keep each and every barrier up to protect those who were on her side.

By the time the dragons had finished and began to fly back up into the sky, the border of toin and Samona had become a burnt waste land. As the barriers faded Seraphina fell to her knees. "Sera!" Daniel yelled as he jumped off his horse and ran to her. Her eyes turned red again and began to glow. "ឈប់ (STOP)" Seraphina yelled the dragons then landed on the ground in front of her and Daniel.

Daniel steeped back in shock. Flare, Blizzard and Storm landed behind seraphina, as she stood up "Seraphina?" Daniel said her name slightly concerned "ខ្ញុំមិនដែលនិយាយថាអ្នកអាចធ្វើបាបសម្ព័ន្ធមិត្តរបស់ខ្ញុំទេ។ (I Never said you could hurt my allies)" Seraphina said. What kind of language is that?" Daniel thought to himself.

Callahan along with the rest of the Aymaran Warriors showed up surrounding Seraphina. "ខ្ញុំអនុញ្ញាតឱ្យអ្នកមានសេរីភាព ដូច្នេះទៅហើយកុំឱ្យមានបញ្ហាទៀត (i let you be free so go and cause no more trouble)" Seraphina said, then one by one the dragons slowly took off into the air, leaving the burnt battle field.

Seraphina turned around. Her eyes turned back into their natural blue color. The warriors kneeled to her in respect. "Jaya pachax Reina De Dragones ukan jakañapawa (Long Live the Queen Of Dragons)" they began to chant.

"How did you do that?" Daniel asked As Callahan, Sona, Luna, and himself walked over to her. "I have no clue," she said. "What was that language?" Sona asked. "I don't know," seraphina answered confused. "It was the language of dragons," Callahan answered. "The language of dragons?" Luna said as if she didn't believe it. "Among my people is an old legend" he began to explain.

"Long ago Lived The Dragon people. People, who could turn into dragons" he told them. "Those people had a language of their own; it's said that the only people who can speak their language are those descended from dragons," Callahan said. "You expect us to believe she is descended from dragons?" Luna said sarcastically.

"How else would she know their language?" Asked Callahan "Enough" Seraphina said. Seraphina grabbed Callahan's hand. "Did we lose anyone?" She asked him. "Nonone significant" he told her. She didn't like those words.

She lightly put her hand on his cheek. "Everyone is significant," she told him. "What's next?" Daniel asked. "We caused a lot of chaos by fighting the rebels," Seraphina said, turning to Daniel. "It would be best if we checked on the surrounding villages to make sure that no innocent people were or will be affected" she explained.

"If you wish to head back to Samona you may it would be best if I stayed here for a short while" , seraphina said, turning back to Callahan. "Our people will stay by your side," Callahan told her. "Are you sure?" She asked him. "Aymaranakan costumbrepawa, janipuniw reinax jan jark'aqasiñapatak jaytañakiti (It is Aymaran custom to never leave the queen without protection)" he explained. "So be it then" she replied.

"Let us ride to the closest village," seraphina said. It didn't take them long to get to the village of hunda. They were greeted by no one, the village was completely silent. "Where is everyone?" Daniel asked. "Perhaps they evacuated to another village?" Sona said.

Suddenly they heard a scream. Daniel and Seraphina looked at each other before going towards the scream at a gallop on their horses. Callahan followed in silent pursuit.

"Get off me I beg of thee" a woman's voice cried. They came across a woman being attacked. Seraphina pulled out her sword and pointed it at the back of the man's neck. "Step away from her before I Stab you in your useless throat" she told the man. The man didn't move but his body tensed up. "Stand up" she said and the man slowly stood up, his back still to seraphina. "Sona help the girl up" she told sona.

Sona helped up the woman. "Do you wish him dead?" Seraphina asked him. "What?" The girl questioned. "Seraphina looked her in the eyes. "Do you wish him dead?" She asked the woman again. She looked towards the man as tears began to fall from his eyes. Then she looked back at Seraphina and nodded. Seraphina swung her sword, quickly cutting off his head.

Seraphina sheathed her sword and jumped off her horse. "Are you alright?" She asked the woman walking over to her. "I... I think so" she replied. "What is your name?" Seraphina asked "Moline" she answered. "My name is Seraphina," Sera told her. "Seraphina..." she repeated.

Then fell to her knees and bowed to Sera, her head touching the ground. "My apologies to your highness for not recognizing you. I've not once seen royalty" she said. "Please I beg of thee stand" seraphina said kneeling down grabbing her hands and slowly pulling her up. "There truly is no need for that," Sera added.

Callahan began to cough Moline looked over to him and back at Seraphina. "I'm sorry but I must go," Moline said, taking her hands back from Sera. "Wait!" Seraphina said as Moline ran off. Callahan began to cough even more. Seraphina turned to him. "Nayan Intija, Jumax walikïsktati (My Sun, Are you alright?)" Serphina asked as Callahan's cough got worse with every second. "Nayan Intija (My Sun)" she said again. Then he fell off his horse, and hit the ground hard. "CALLAHAN!" She yelled running to him.
