Meraki Sagepice woke up at the hospital with no memory of who she is or what had transpired. She just remained there, an empty shell of a human.
That is, until a woman in a suit appeared to her and pledged loyalty to her in a blood pact. With that, a sudden and painful bloodlust consumed her entire consciousness. 
Who is she? Who is this woman? And why is the Sagepice family so feared?

Outrun The Truth

"What do you mean you can't?" I asked, feeling my heartbeat rate increasing.

"I just can't." She answered, thankfully, she is able to keep our breathing in check right now.

"Then just do what you can to keep calm," I said, looking over to Aurora. "What will happen if she panics in the middle of this?"

"Mind Manipulation magic is dangerous." She said, frowning. "If one isn't careful when using this magic, it can cause a lot of problems for both sides."

"Well, both of you could lose your memories and you could have something scrambled in there." She said, thinking, "There was this time that a person lost their mind because of a very amateurish performance done by the Mind Manipulator."

"That does not sound like a very good thing." Kefi said, trying to steady her breathing, "But what will happen if my body tenses up."
