Dinner Date

"Hi, Meraki." The golden-haired boy said, looking at me with a, surprisingly, genuine smile on his face.

I can't feel any sort of malice from him and I think that is unsettling me more. I turned from him to look at the woman he came with, must be his mother.

For some reason, I can't make out her face properly. It is a little faded. I blinked twice but I can't tell still. Strange.

"Hello." Kei quickly came out and greeted them with a smile. "Do I know who you are?"

"Oh right, you are suffering from memory loss." She said, voice quivering. I can feel sadness from her and it does feel genuine, just not directed at me.

"I am. So may I know who you are?" I said, knowing exactly who they are.

The boy and his mother exchanged looks as he gave her a reassuring smile, like a good son.

"Please excuse our rudeness." He said, smiling at us all. "I am Jude Hampton and this is my mother, Elizabeth Hampton."
