Meraki Sagepice woke up at the hospital with no memory of who she is or what had transpired. She just remained there, an empty shell of a human.
That is, until a woman in a suit appeared to her and pledged loyalty to her in a blood pact. With that, a sudden and painful bloodlust consumed her entire consciousness. 
Who is she? Who is this woman? And why is the Sagepice family so feared?

Outrun The Truth

"Isn't it nice?" Aurora asked, playing her arm around his shoulder. "Adan's magic is something I really envy."

"Your magic is powerful on its own." He said, narrowing his eyes. "Help her down from there first."

"Miss, jump into my arms," Aurora said, holding her hands out and smiled at me.

I looked at her then at the other men standing behind her who all had smiles on their faces, some more forced than others. I made eye contact with the man with two different eye colours. He snapped his hands and the portal disappeared, his fringe covering his eyes entirely as he talked forward and held his hand out to me.

Looking at Aurora and then man, I took his hands and let him pull me down from the cupboard like I couldn't do it myself, but whatever.

"Miss?" Aurora gasped as he continued to carry me in his arms like I am a child or something. "You would let the intruder carry you?? I have never felt so betrayed before, Adan."
