Snake Spirit

I gasped awake and looked around the room, the alarm on my bedside is ringing nonstop and my heart is pounding like crazy.

Still heavy with sleep, I reached out and turned it off. I rubbed my eyes and looked out the window. It is still very dark outside, one more look at my clock and I can see the time flashing.

Four thirty-six a.m.

"Good morning, Meraki!" Kefi said, pushing out body out of the bed with a light jump. "How was your sleep?"

"Fine," I mumbled as she began to do jumping jacks in the room. "I need to meet Adan at five O'clock in his room right?"

"Right." She said, grinning as we began to stretch. "We have about thirty minutes before we have to do that. Want to hear what I have found?"

"Oh, right. You found my father's snake spirit?"

"I did." She grinned as we walked on over to the bathroom to begin washing up. "But there is a slight ... problem."
