First condition pt.2

Duy could be called many things: weak, useless, a disgrace to ninjas, the eternal genin. But he was not a fool. He realized that the little one in front of him wanted to help his son very much.

"But if he leaves the academy, how can he become a ninja afterward?" That was Duy's question.

A common belief had formed among the people of Konoha. Only someone who entered the ninja academy and graduated from it could become a ninja.

"Wrong," Eiji replied without hesitation. "You don't necessarily need to enter or complete the ninja academy. Even if you don't study and possess notable skills, you can still become a ninja."

There were a few cases like that, though not common. "Besides, we have a free pass right next to you."

Duy turned his eyes to where Eiji's hand had pointed. It was his father. He was giving a slight nod with a smile on his face.

"There's nothing better than a former ninja commander of Konoha, right?" Eiji laughed.

Duy could only nod slightly. He had really forgotten about Sakumo at that moment.

He seemed so... simple? No one would believe if you said he is one of the strongest men in Konoha today. If not the strongest.

"Look at Kakashi, for example, Duy. He's a genius in his own right. His current teacher is the famous Namikaze Minato," Eiji put his hand on his brother's shoulder, emphasizing even more.

"Do you think he's learning a lot from him?" Eiji asked.

Duy pondered for a few seconds and spoke.

"Of course, yes. After all, we're talking about one of Konoha's best jonin. He's always active in my front-end missions." Duy had heard several stories about this man.

"You're right, he's a great ninja. But as a teacher, he's terrible." Eiji spoke calmly as he looked at Guy's incredulous gaze.

Duy just looked at Eiji strangely; this boy spoke so directly and honestly that it was unsettling for him.

"You're joking!" Guy raised his hand accusingly at Eiji.

No one could blame him.

"Kakashi, tell me what you've learned from Minato all this time?" He looked at Kakashi in search of an answer.

Reluctantly, Kakashi simply gave in and sighed in disgust. "He really doesn't teach me anything useful, neither taijutsu nor ninjutsu. Just some Konoha philosophies, some imaginary situations, and ninja fundamentals."

Kakashi's mouth twisted as he remembered the last part.

"It's like throwing several different kunai and only sparring once or twice a week." Nobody could believe that in all those months, that's all he had been taught.

"He says I'm still a child and don't need to rush to learn a lot, just master what I already know, even though I've already mastered everything." Kakashi was not satisfied with his teacher.

With his father alive, teaching him so many things and ninjutsu to make him stronger, Kakashi's attitude toward Minato wasn't as good as it should be.

He was far from supportive.

He didn't admire him because, to Kakashi, Minato was just someone who didn't want to teach him ninja skills and shirked his duties.

He used to be left alone in the training ground to throw kunai, and his brother warned him not to use anything he knew in the designated field.

He had found out someone was trying to spy on him, so he became more discreet.

"NO WAY! DOES HE REALLY DO THAT?" Guy's face was covered in disbelief.

"All we know was taught by our father, and it will be the same with Guy if he trains here." Eiji calmly explained Guy's training plan.

Though difficult and arduous, Guy will be able to use Ninjutsu. He never used it in the original series because of his belief and promise to his father.

As the situations now are different, Guy will take his power to a new level.

Duy absorbed the information and remembered something. "You said there would be more conditions? What are they?" Despite everything, it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

"Well remembered, I had forgotten!" Eiji snapped his fingers. "The second part involves you!"

"Me?" Duy was stunned for a while. "And what about me?" he said, blinking his eyes in confusion.

"Before, we didn't look at you, but looking back now, you're in a very bad situation, huh?" Eiji spoke casually.

Duy's expression trembled. "What do you mean?"

"You train more than anyone else, you're constantly on D-C rank missions and even some riskier B rank missions, all for money," Eiji said, observing Duy's state.

"You hardly sleep, your body is usually exhausted, most of the time you're tired or sleepy from lack of rest, currently you're only about 60% of your perfect condition." Eiji took out a paper from his pocket and read calmly.

There was a lot of information about Duy and Guy in the file.

"How do you know all this?"

"A ninja has to stay well-informed, and how else are you going to be trained here? Obviously, we need all kinds of information." Eiji was not at all ashamed of spying on them.

"..."

"You?" Duy noticed that part in the essentials. "I... can also train?" He was shocked.

"Yes."

Taking a storage scroll from his pocket, Eiji took out its contents.

Money!

Eiji threw the money into Duy's hands. "This is your training, rest."

"Don't think too much about it, this can pay for your needs for a maximum of 6 months. You'll have 1 month of rest without doing missions or training. All you need to do is let your body relax and rest."

"I can't accept this," Duy humbly refused.

"You can pay us back another time; consider it an investment in your future days as a ninja." After these few words from Eiji, Duy pondered for a while and accepted.

"Now let's start training, Guy-kun." Sakumo, who had been watching his son solve everything, finally stood up.

Certain things had to be learned from a young age, so he let his children solve most of the problems on their own.

Certain things couldn't be taught, only learned.

Although Duy couldn't train any genjutsu or ninjutsu, he had certain things that even someone without Chakra could learn. Many people either didn't remember or didn't care to research.

But Sakumo did, as the art of the sword, or rather Kenjutsu, is much more popular in the Land of Iron. A place long forgotten by the ninja. Ah, several techniques used there don't need chakra.

Duy could also learn those techniques. That was Sakumo's plan for him.

"Has she arrived already?" There was happiness in Eiji's tone.

"YOHALLOOOOOO" A girl with long black hair waved frantically at him. A red-haired woman not farbehind her.

"Who is she?" Guy asked.

"Your training partner, Uchiha Kiyomi."
