Elliot dragged the hesitant me, down the wide steps, ignoring the glances and whispers of servants. At the end of the stairs was the entrance, and to the side was a dining room filled with people. Everyone went silent seeing us at the entrance. Elliot pulled me as I looked at the people we were passing nervously. He pushed me down in a seat and sat next to me. All of the attention was on us. Elliot sensed that I was nervous and put his hand over mine. I squeezed it tightly but manage to put up an act in front of everyone else. We are waiting for father. Elliot's hot breath hit my ear as he whispered. Causing me to almost flinch.
The doors on the opposite side of the way we came in, opened. A man that looks in his late forties walked in. Clack. Clack. Clack. The sound of his cane hitting against the ground was the only noise that filled the room. Their attention diverted onto the man that just entered rather than me.
He reaches the chair at the end of the table, slowly sitting down. Old man, this is Summer, the werewolf that helped me. even though we were far away, when his head snapped in my direction, I could see the interest shimmering in his eyes. So did everyone else.
I sat back in my seat, staring into the eyes of the man who just came in. I squeezed Elliot's hand under the table. His dark black eyes stared right back at mine. Elliot just squeezed my hand to reassure me. The man with who I was staring into spoke first.
It's nice to meet you, Summer, I'm Victor Star, Elliot's father. I looked at him in shock that I have been staring into the eyes of the Vampire king. What are you waiting for? Serve the food! His voice again broke threw the silence. After his words, the room erupted with chatter and laughter.
All attention was spreader equally to everyone. Then the servants came in with humans walking in a line. No one else found it weird, but I could feel Elliot tense up. What's wrong? I whispered into his ear. T-this is why I don't.... feed. I looked back to the humans who now had vampires fangs in their necks. I stiffened too. It was an ugly sight. I never thought of how it looks like to be sucked by a bloodthirsty monster.
Elliot, you aren't eating? Asked Victor. You have your own special drink every vampire wishes to have, why waste it. I can see the smile creeping on his face I'm not hungry, and we were just about to take our leave first.
Elliot Sit! His voice boomed in the room, everyone stopped what they were doing. Elliot was half-standing from his chair then dropped down, glaring at Victor. I told you to eat, since you claim this werewolf actually fed you blood. He said smoothly. Elliot looked hesitant, so I made the decision for him. I pulled his head into my neck. Shocked gasped echoed the room. I'm fine. I whispered. Just control it this time. I smiled gently at him, then glared at Victor. I flinched at his fangs forcing into my neck. Victor watched with satisfaction and amusement. Elliot hasn't eaten for ten days, he must be hungry. I could smell my blood in the air, turning everyone's eyes around me red. Elliot sensed this too, and forced his head away, allowing my skin to heal over.
I wiped the blood that trickled down the corner of his mouth with my thumb and pushed it against his mouth. Remember, don't waste any. He licked my finger and nibbled a little with his fangs. After we were done, we turned our attention back to Victor and the others.
