Mew hands out gifts

Not long after the whole accusation play, Mew heard about the arrest of Barriss Offee and the fact that Ahsoka had left the order. Though they had been deceived, the jedi had still distrusted Ahsoka, which struck her deep. It didn't surprise Mew she would leave. When she left, Mew had handed her a lot of things that might help, like a space pouch, money and other possible necessities. As a reminder of the small but precious bond they had, Mew shared a lot of pictures of them, of her and Anakin and of all the funny moments with Ahsoka.

Ahsoka smiled gratefully as she silently left the temple under the watchfull eye of Mew and Anakin.

That was a few days ago. In the meantime, the Jedi had gone back to their protection duties across the galaxy. While they were doing that, Mew had seen something disturbing in the distant, yet not so distant future. To ascertain the damages done would be contained to some extent, Mew had decided to hand out some little 'gifts' to the Jedi. When asked what those gifts were meant to be, Mew just laughed it off as he explained what they needed to do. After all, just telling what the gift was meant for was just spoiling the fun when they found out.

The Jedi available had gathered in the council room for the time being. Mew handed each of the jedi a colorless bead. For those who had apprentices or younglings, Mew handed them the amount needed to share amongst them.

[You need to drip a bit of blood on the bead. It will then fuse with your body, while showing a certain number on your hand. The nuber will count down to zero, but you shouldn't take too much notice of it, as the purpose of the bead will be revealed as soon as it hits that number. Make sure every Palawan, youngling and Jedi receives it.]

Mew explained as he handed each Jedi the said number of beads. Following his instructions, the Jedi each dripped a drop of their blood on their own bead. The bead soon dissolved as a number appeared on their hand, each different from the other.

"A count down this is, hmm. From it, something good happens I suppose." Yoda said as he too looked at the number that began to count down on his hand, though his was astoundingly large, compared by the numbers on the hands of other Jedi.

[It is something good. I promise. Though it is better if it wasn't needed.]

Mew said as he looked a bit torn about telling them or not. He eventually decided he would only tell it to master Yoda, as he seemed more experienced and more thoughfull than the other Jedi.

"Want to say something, hmm. Better for us to be alone."

Master Yoda said, as all the other Jedi left the room.

"Talk easilly now, you can."

Mew nodded as he explained part of the usage of the beads.

[It is meant to save the Jedi that are destined for an untimely death. But only if the death is of an external cause, such as injuries. Old age or willfully dying are not accounted. I have forseen a grave vision of the future in which the need of those beads are a necessity, so the Jedi might live.]

Mew said, though he didn't explain any further about it.

"I see, know the enemy, you do?"

Yoda asked as he looked in concern at the usual cheerful Mew, who was now a bit downcast.

[It's the creepy guy. I guess Obi-wan would know what I mean with that. He is observant after all. Do not trust the creepy guy.]

Mew said as he left the Jedi master to ponder over his words.
