Copper tag and quest

Aldos mindfully followed every direction of the map, traversing mud roads as he moved towards the Forest of Death. This Forest of Death was situated in the Great Forest of Tob. Next to this forest was their first stop, the Carne Village.

The troll that they were meant to slay was a lone troll that had been cast out of its group. As it could pose a threat to the nearby villages, a slaying quest had been put up. As none of the adventurers wanted to move so far for just a measly troll, the quest had been collecting dust up until now.

As Aldos and Mew had now a copper tag, the lowest rank among the adventurers, they needed to take some quests and they didn't really mind the distance at all. One, it allowed them to see the surroundings of this strange world. And two, they could always teleport back to the town from before.

So having nothing to fear of getting lost or getting bored, Mew and Aldos continued on their way towards the small town.

The way towards Carne Town was a mixture of moving along the plains as well as moving through forests. The plains were relatively tranquil with only the occasional goblin trying to ambush them. Naturally, as a good pokemon, Mew let Aldos handle all the small fries. Only when there were too many to handle with simple spell did Mew step in to slim down the numbers.

The roads throught the forests were the most fun, as trolls would come out. They were mostly harmless, a lot lower leveled than the one they were meant to deal with. Alongside the trolls were also spider-like monsters that tried to entrap them with their sidersilk. A simple firespell handled that end, as the spidersilk burned nicely. If they were unlucky, the thread would burst up in flames when it was still connected to their body, giving them a painful ending.

"Mew-sama, we are getting near Carne Town. The map shows it should be a day away from here."

Aldos helpfully commented.

[I see, we need to keep moving then. I want to see what the town looks like~]

Mew hummed happily, impatient to see what the small towns/villages in this world looked like. Were they simple, dilapidated or getting on rather well. He wanted to see it with his own eyes. That and see if he spotted some interesting people to prank.

Ah, nothing beats joking around with unsuspecting victims.

Mew giggled in delight as he began to think of what he could possibly do to scare them.

"Gengar is rubbing of on you Mew-sama. It would be best to avoid him in the future."

Aldos said, a frown clear on his face. He was not happy with this behavior at all.

If Gengar could hear Aldos he would surely cry out for the injustice done to him. He didn't do anything, Okay?! Mew was a pranker from way before he spent time with him.

Aside from that, he would also be happy to be freed from the scourge called Mew. One way or another, he always got into sticky situations he didn't want to deal with.

Luckily for Gengar, he wasn't there to share his opinion, otherwise Mew would have snickered maliciously and dumped him in one of Nazaricks floors. He had heard of a floor filled with brown barons (A/N: Cockroaches for those who don't know) and he couldn't wait but throw someone in there and see what would happen.
