Moving towards some lizard men

(A/N: Only one for today, as I've finally got some free time. Maybe I'll post a few more in the coming days, but don't get your hopes too high up.)

Having had his fill of food, Mew cast one more glance at the palace he had previously played at, a mischievous smirk on his face.

He had left a small present behind, one that would give his a lot of joy once it activated. He couldn't wait to see that emperors' face when it did. Then what if Ains saw it too? Would he see a smile on that skeletal face of his, or would the emotional damper interfere again. Who knows.

Mew departed alongside Aldos, having decided to travel to another place. He had heard in the few days he had been here, that Ains had made a colony of lizard men his own. How he knew didn't matter, as he had many kinds of ways to know these things.

The thing he was interested about was seeing what these lizard men looked like and what their lives were like. Not that hard of a quest, being a self imposed one.

Nodding to himself, Mew sat down on Aldos's shoulder and teleported them to the general location of these lizard men.

The scenery changed from the bustling city streets to a damp and smelly swamp land. There was mud, mud and oh! More mud. What a wonderful place to visit. On the side were the swamps, with magical aligators and fish moving about in the murky waters.

There was no sign of any lizard men in sight.

[Ehh? Did I get the location wrong?]

Mew questioned himself. He wasn't that good in directions after all.

"I suppose even Mew-sama can make mistakes. No need to be troubled, as it seems we are close enough to traverse these swamplands to the wanted location."

Aldos replied, after having accertained where they were with a simple locating spell on a map.

[Good. Then let's go!]

Mew exclaimed, tapping Aldos in excitement on the shoulder to spur him into action.

Aldos just shook his head, already used to Mew's personality and habits. It would be better to just move and let him explore all around this place.

Having this way of thought, Aldos moved in the general location on the lizard men village, floating just slightly above the water surface to avoid the muddy ground. There was no saying what might be hidden in it's depths, as just one step would let his feet sink far into it, even with his light weight.

While Aldos moved forward, Mew would from time to time annoy the hell out of the swamp critters, making the alligators battle each other after having sneakily let one of them snap its jaws shut on another alligators' tail. There was no end to Mew's own form of entertainment. Though he seemed to enjoy stacking them on top of the other more than the former game.

Letting Mew entertain himself, Aldos moved onward to the village, which they would arrive at within the hour.
