Wham!
Travis kicked down his opponent, sending them crashing into a nearby building. Currently he was hunting down the owner of the Artifact he wanted. The owner was a NPC named Uvos. A retired adventurer who still was in possession of a power Artifact. A player could obtain this Artifact by doing the NPC's quests. Once enough favorability was gained Uvos would give a quest with the reward of the Artifact.
Travis wasn't actually entirely sure this Artifact existed. The player who spoke about it was rapidly hunted by others and very quickly their name vanished into obscurity. The only reason Travis remember about this bit of information was due to his current desire to find one.
Naturally Travis did not have enough time to do quests, so he did the much easier way. Killing the NPC. Uvos was an incredibly powerful individual, the Artifact only serving to make him even more powerful. If the information he read before was true, then Uvos should automatically drop the Artifact if he had one.
Even with his ridiculous stats Travis had to use his Berserk Skill to fight Uvos. However once that happened Travis gained the upper hand.
Uvos coughed blood, "You're quite something aren't you? I don't know why you are out to kill me, but it won't be easy!"
Uvos stood back up, wiping the blood off his face he grinned. Travis eyed him, he had all his abyss magic damage stacks affecting Uvos. Their words were only a dying man's final breath.
Uvos charged forward intending to fight to the end. As soon as he was close Travis kneed Uvos' stomach. Causing them to slide back and double over. Travis brought his sword down on the back of Uvos' head, finishing the retired adventurer.

Barret dashed forward, his speed far greater than before. Wrock calmly focused, he didn't plan on using his Berserk Skill just yet. This was an opportunity.
Wrock watched, keeping an eye on every movement.
Wong~!
A large green arm, similarly armored, rushed towards Wrock. Using his arms to catch the hand Wrock grit his teeth. This sort of skill was unexpected.
Boom-!
Wrock was sent sliding back, his health reduced by 40%. Spitting the bit of blood that rushed to his mouth sighed. If Barret had the ability to cast large limbs to attack with he would be forced to use his own Berserk Skill.
However the damage was too much, Wrock couldn't afford to take another hit. His eyes flashed and began to glow a bright blue, a same color aura rising from his skin.
Reverence raised an eyebrow at this, "To think he has a Berserk Skill."
"It seems to be quite common nowadays." Akiol commented.
Reverence showed a face of confusion, "Common? Any of our guild members who own one immediately become part of the main combat force."
"Every player I had fought from a certain point had a berserk skill. Are they really that rare?"
"Of course, if they really were common I wouldn't hesitate to equip all of my guild members with one."
"Is that so. . ."
Due to the special effect on Wrock's Berserk Skill his stats increased every 30 seconds.
Using [Intense Speed] Wrock teleported in front of Barret. His fist, moving at extreme speeds, smashed into the chest of Barret. The slightly transparent green armor cracked and Barret was sent flying back.
Wrock didn't let go of the opportunity and dashed forward. Barret flashed green and recovered mid air. Two of the giant arms appeared and and clapped Wrock's sides.
Wham-!
Wrock used [Monstrous Strength] increasing his strength even further and stopped the two arms short. The cracked and exploded into pieces that faded out of existence.
Barret frowned at this, he felt like the stat gap had increased suddenly.
Wrock used the now off cooldown [Thundering Shockwave] while the last second of [Monstrous Strength] ended.
Boom-!
It crashed into Barret, breaking the front of his armor to pieces and shaving off a large chunk of his HP. Wrock assumed the armor gave extra defense, for the shockwave would have done far more damage normally.
Barret got up, blood dripping off his body. He stomped the ground, causing a shockwave to go off in all directions.
Wrock used [Intense Speed] and teleported above Barret. Aiming downwards he shouted, "[The Beast's Roar]!"
Whoom-!
Barret attempted to guard against the move, but it was futile. The force shoved him into the ground. With his opponent temporarily stuck Wrock used [Hawk's Descent] onto his skull, finishing off the rest of his health.
Reverence made a face of anger, yet he made sure to mask it as soon as it appeared. He was told that Barren Wheat was an expert among experts! Why was he defeated?
Uranium was shocked, immediately he ordered some of his subordinates to obtain info on Wrecking Rocks. One of his best players was defeated so easily!
Akiol saw the reaction of Reverence, this confirmed his doubts. The invite to the competition held ill will. He shook his head in annoyance, top powers remained the same after all. Maybe one day he will be approached with genuine good intentions from a power in the future.
Having won his match Wrock was teleported back to his original position. He turned off his Berserk Skill and sat down, resting.
Akiol walked over, "Quite the match you had there."
Wrock gave a small smile, "Their Berserk Skill was unexpected, so I had to use mine."
"Ah yes, the susano'o. Reminds of the time I fought Stabbed."
"The stand user?"
"That's the one."
Reverence's eye twitched, why did it sound like the fight was merely another memory? It further angered Reverence to see them chatting freely, there is a serious competition!
Reverence sent a strongly worded message to Uranium, after that he communicated with the other organizers of the event. He failed once, he would make sure he didn't next time.

Travis exhaled, he had made it. Currently he was at the entrance to a different dimension. The dimension of the Everlasting Abyss. This was the only place he knew that dropped Abyssal Fragments.
Yet to enter the place he would need to first open the entrance. To do that he would need to fight the guardian.
The guardian was not a nice creature. A boss who's stats far out stretch any boss of the same level. Travis had no intention to fight this however. Since he knew the way to open the entrance he could skip the fight. In fact the boss could server as a personal guard for the dimension.
Travis took a deep breath and focused. He would need to do these next steps near perfectly.

Akiol watched the rest of the fights when a thought struck him, "Reverence, do you have your own guild members compete for first place?"
"Of course, it promotes rivalry and strengthens their desire to get stronger." Reverence replied.
"So a guild member could match up with another fellow guild member?"
"That is correct."
Akiol tossed a look towards Wrock. If that was the case he may end up in a match with Wrock. He hadn't fought with Wrock ever since he obtained the realm of {Hyperfocused Battle Intensity}.
Reverence saw this and smiled in his heart. This was it, if the next round failed he could have his 'guests' fight each other. Then he stopped, that wasn't his original plan! What was the point of teaching them the power of guilds if they only lost to each other?
Reverence tossed away the idea, he would have to hope that the next rounds had someone competent enough to defeat the outsiders.
Else the top 10 guilds would all seem like fools.
The matches ended and there was a short intermission before the next set. Some players logged out to do some necessities.
After ten minutes the next set of participants were selected. Akiol scanned the list before he saw himself up next. This further confirmed his suspicions. It was now set in concrete.
Akiol loosened up his shoulders, though he probably didn't need to. It was his turn to shine.

"Hmm, the guilds are having their own tournament? Was the competition not sufficient enough?" A man mumbled to himself.
He tapped a button on an elevator, as he descended he contemplated. The guilds were something that the game needed to attract more players. More importantly they needed a 'face'. Something or someone to be the character everyone thinks of when they here the name of the game.
The elevator dinged and the man stepped off. As he walked towards his location his head was spinning with thoughts.
He reached a locked door. Pulling out a keycard he unlocked it and walked in. Inside was a small barren room, the only thing in was another elevator.
The man had to do some security protocols, retina scan, fingerprint scan, dna test, temperature scan. Once these were complete the elevator opened and the man walked inside.
Pressing one of the two buttons he descended.
"It's far too early for someone to rise to fame. Besides that one individual who seems to know everything about the game." He continued to mumble
The elevator dinged and he stepped out. What greeted him was a lab far underneath the ground.
What was in the lab? An assortment of projects, mainly projects that lead to the development of A World's Legacy.
The projects however, were not something the public would want to know.
