Muteki Clan’s Last Survivor

Travis took a deep breath, he was currently in a room made to accelerate the recovery of Abyssal Creatures, but he wasn't an Abyssal Creature so he received no benefits.

Flinnder had ordered them to recover for the final showdown, it was going to be a three way duel to make it even. This would be the ultimate showdown, nothing will be held back.

Travis held Harbinger Of The Abyss, he examined the blade thoroughly. This was his weapon, something that he would never replace. In his time playing A World's Legacy he had grown used to wielding the blade. It became an extension of his arm.

He couldn't wait to get it repaired, however that would wait. He needed to win this battle, desperately.

He leaned his head back and rested it on the wall, the match was in a few hours. He needed to calm his emotions.

In a room full of gloomy individuals. . .

"This is too much, we have far too much on our hands!" Someone yelled.

"Calm yourself Vintage, we cannot break now. Our reputation and existence is on the brink of elimination." Uranium said.

The leaders and vice leaders of the top guilds got together to discuss evident problems. They had been working together recently to remove some common enemies, one of which was Infinity Base.

Since Infinity Base gave a free Berserk Skill for most of its members, its popularity skyrocketed. More members went to join, meaning they gained more power. The guilds were struggling to fight the mass of powerful enemies.

"Let us be glad that the Dot character calmed down and stopped attacking professionals. Our reputation has been salvaged from the situation." Reverence piped up, intending to somewhat improve the atmosphere.

It instead worsened, "If we ever see that Dot character we agree to eliminate them immediately correct?", Grimes asked.

"Sure, if we ever see them again. We lost sight of the character a long time ago. I'm almost confident they died and lost everything.", Clarity responded.

"With that power? Please."

The conversation shifted over to tactics and battle strategies. They had to put their heads together to beat Infinity Base.

"We need to eliminate their source, our spies managed to figure out that Zealous is the one giving the Berserk Skills. It's such a shame death isn't too punishing.", "Reverence mentioned.

"Well. . ."

Everyone grew silent and looked at the man who spoke. It was Seven Vows, Guild Leader of Raven Thread. He tapped the table, "What if we could wipe his account?"

Flinnder entered the room, "I see you're just fine."

Travis nodded, "I am ready."

"Good, I came to notify you all personally. The round is about to begin."

Flinnder exited with a scary grin. Travis murmured, "Messing with us huh?"

. . .

He stood in the arena, watching the other two opponents. It was time, his entire game existence depended on his success.

Flinnder watched his candidates and smiled, "Begin."

The crocodile's claws extended, their size increased. They made a clicking sound before saying, "I will end this quick. . . starting with you!"

The crocodile dashed towards the humanoid Abyssal Creature. The humanoid smirked and beckoned, "Come then! Allow this one to teach you a lesson!"

The crocodile swung with his claws. The humanoid dodged and threw a casual punch towards them. The crocodile bent sharply to dodge and swiped the humanoids face. A cut formed along the cheek of the humanoid, a black liquid oozing from the wound.

The crocodile backed away and laughed menacingly, "My poison reached you, you're as good as dead!"

"Poison? You dare poison this one?! With such an outdated tactic?! You dare?!" The humanoid grew angry.

It dashed forward and punched the gut of the crocodile. The reptilian took a few steps back from the impact, "Hehe! This is my trump card I hid during my first match! My [Beyond Steel Scales]! My defense is unbreakable!"

"Unbreakable? Laughable, this one has broken plenty of things that claimed otherwise. You shall be no different!"

The humanoid smashed the crocodile multiple times, however the damage remained minimal. The crocodile was also striking back with its razor sharp claws. Several cuts formed on the humanoids skins and clothes.

Meanwhile Travis watched intently, he wasn't going to join and waste energy. He could simply finish off the tired victor and win. He wanted to know what the poison did, and what the humanoid was going to do.

"Hehe! You should be feeling it right about now, right?! The poison is slowing your nerve connections, your reaction is slowing. Before you know it, you will be unable to control your body!"

The humanoid grew angry. Thrusting their fist forward they shouted, "[Muteki Style: Big Bang Punch]!

The air swirled around the punch. A single second past before a deafening boom was heard. The crocodile was sent into the arena wall. The crocodile winced heavily, their stomach scales had been heavily damaged. They suffered significant damage from the one attack alone as well. So they pretended to be dead, they needed to recover.

Travis saw the crocodile's HP bar drop significantly. He also saw the HP bar recovering extremely slowly as it remained unmoving. So he intended to go and finish off the crocodile. Yet he was intercepted by a single sentence, "You're next strange one. . ."

The system flashed a warning.

Fleeing wasn't an option, so he viewed the status page of Arrovon.

<<>>

He expected as much, even if a player's stats was greater than their enemy. If their level was lower by a large amount they would be unable to see the stats of their enemy. It was strange, but it also made sense.

Arrovon took a deep breath. With a quick 'Haa' sound all his wounds began to leak the black liquid. After a second of this they stopped and cracked their neck, "The fool thought poison could affect this great one. Besides. . . you, you are not Abyssal. Yet you are chosen by Lord Flinnder. You stand in my way."

Travis readied his sword in a stance, "And you stand in mine, there shall be only one outcome."

"Yeah that's right. . . that outcome will be my victory!"

Arrovon dashed forward and threw a punch towards Travis' head. Adjusting his body slightly the punch sailed past, rendering it ineffective.

Travis counter attacked with a swing of his sword, but Arrovon dodged this effortlessly. Raising his leg Arrovon shouted, "[Muteki Style: Serpent's Strike!]."

The kick flashed forward, aiming for Travis' neck. Travis stepped back and dodged the kick, then swung his sword to attack the same leg.

Arrovon retracted the leg and slid forward, "[Muteki Style: Flash Fist Crunch]!"

Ding-

The punch landed on Travis. It hit his stomach with lightning quick speed. He was unable to react and was forced to receive the blow. A light flashed at the area of impact and exploded, sending Travis tumbling towards a wall.

Travis recovered midair, the attack hurt him bad. However he ignored the pain. Arrovon watched him recover and began to comment, "You're entire existence is strange. You wield an extreme amount of power considering your existential level. You have been chosen by a powerful sword. You're a monstrosity to this world. Some out of line peasant who somehow gained power."

Travis took a breath, "Yeah, I gained power alright. So I wouldn't have an issue standing up against egotistical people like you!"

Travis charged forward. Arrovon attacked with a strange ranged move, "[Muteki Style: Energy Force]!"

It looked like a massive ki ball. Travis fired a charged [Depth's Beam] at the ball. The beam began to slow the ball's progress until both skills dissipated. Arrovon was shocked, "He canceled it out?"

Travis reached him and began a flurry of strikes. This time he didn't need to hold back his speed. Faced with such a fast speed Arrovon was forced to dodge. However this flurry of strikes was built with Travis' rise in skill. Each strike was made to be harder to dodge if the previous one was. Meaning the difficulty was raised every strike.

Arrovon was unable to dodge this next strike so they guarded himself with their arm. Travis sword cut an inch deep into their flesh. The result shocked both of them.

"I only cut that deep?"

"He cut that deep?"

Arrovon pushed the sword away and retreated sharply, "Consider yourself lucky, for I shall use my weapon!"

Arrovon held their weapon, originally Travis thought of it to be a sheathed sword or something similar. However the weapon expanded into a pole. Travis then realized what Arrovon's class was. It was a pugilist, the pole wielding variant.

Flinnder grew excited at this. That pole had caused him a bit of trouble when it was used. Arrovon was extremely capable when wielding it. He wondered how this battle would turn out.
