New Students

Lisa POV

"Lis, have some coffee first." Sydney said as she handed me the coffee she was holding before she sat down next to me.

"Thank you."

"What does the doctor say?"

I took in a deep breath as my shoulder dropped. "Mom's condition is getting worse and the only way to get her better is a bone marrow transplant."

"Is there a donor?" She asked.

I shook my head in response. "I will try if we are compatible."

"Isn't that dangerous?" She asked with the concern on her voice.

"I don't know, I have no other choice, if we come out that we're compatible, I'll be her donor and all I can think now is the money for her surgery."

"I'll help Lisa, I will be participating in various contests here and will give you everything I can win." She said and hugged me. I laughed softly for what she had said.

"Are you sure you will win?" I teased and she just laughed.

Suddenly she became silent and seemed to remember something before looking straight at me. "Lis, what if we fight in underground? There's a lot of money there and if we're lucky enough, we can win."

"I don't have time for things like that Syd, I need money in a neat way." I said as I shook my head.

"Lis, will you still think about that? You need money as quick as possible and that's not even illegal because we can win those money for dancing not the other way around." She insists and grabbed both of my shoulders and turn me to face her. "Whatever happens, after we raise enough money for Aunt's surgery, we'll stop and I promise I'll never go back to that place." She said seriously as she looked straight into my eyes.

I briefly stared at her face, deciphering if she was really serious about what she was saying. But I can see in her eyes the dedication. I can't deny that her plans will really help us, but I'm not sure if we have a chance to win.

"Lisa, think about your mom. " She added when I couldn't speak immediately.

"Syd, I don't know, what if we don't win? Especially, we are not known underground." I still said hesitantly and lowered my head.

"It's not about how many fans we have, it's up to our moves if we will win or not, and I trust your dancing so I'm sure we have a great chance of winning, I can ask Bam and Yves to help us."

I looked at her again when she mentioned the two. "Do you have still contact with them?"

"Of course!" She said enthusiastically and fished out her keypad phone in her pocket. But before she would call them, she paused and looked at me, as if she's waiting for my permission.

I let out a deep sigh before I nodded. She put her arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to her before tapping her phone and attached it on her ear.

"Hello Bam? This is Sydney, can we meet later? Take Yves with you."

"Lisa!" Sydney shouted my name as she ran closer to me. I lowered my head and stopped because some students were looking at us, this girl have really loud ass! "I have spoken to Bambam and Yves, they will help us." She said as she approached me.

"I'm having a second thought Syd, what if Dad will find out, for sure he'll get mad at me."

"Don't worry, he won't know that." She assures and wrapped her arm on my neck and tugged me along, we heads straight to our room.

When we got to the room, Sydney and I sat down at the end of the classroom. And exactly after we sat down, the professor stepped in. "I heard there are four new students today." Sydney whispered. "And they're all women, it looks like we will be lucky this year Lis."

I nudge her with my elbow for what she had said and refrained myself from laughing. Sydney can be really annoying sometimes when it's about girls. I lowered my head when the professor's eyes bore at us because of Sydney's loud laughed. "Shut the fuck up Syd, the professor is looking at us." I rebuked her with a slap on her arm.

"Ok class, you have new blockmates for today, and I want you all to welcome them nicely. Girls please come." The professor said, I looked up at the door and the smile made its way to my lips when I saw Sana, she's looking at us and waved her hand cutely and giddily. "Please introduce yourselves."

"Hi, I'm Jisoo Singh! I love chicken and dog. Nice to meet you all." All of our classmates laughed at the way she introduced herself and some of them even whistled because of how pretty she is with her heart-shaped lips and beautiful smile.

Next was the tallest of them. "Hi block mates, I'm Rosé Pristine, but you can call me Chaeyoung, Rosie or whatever you want just don't dare to call me Chipmunk and oh! I love foods and if you have food then we're already friends." Once again our classmates laughed. The way they introduce themselves are really amusing, they look like brats but it's contradict on how they talk. Well, I wouldn't have say that this early because I really don't know them.

"Hi, hello. I'm Mizaki Sana and.." She paused, as if thinking of something else to say, before raising her finger like there's suddenly bulb popped out above her head. "I love everything. Thank you." She added while giggling and we all laughed again. She waved to us again and we waved back, causing all our classmates to look at us, even the professor.

"I see, you know Ms.Kang and Ms.Mcklein." The professor said.

"Yes Sir, they are my childhood friends." Shana replied, it starts a loud murmuring inside the classroom but Sydney and I ignored them, surely they wondering how Shana became friends with a nerd like me and Sydney who seemed to care less about the world other than dancing.

"That's good, now the last, please introduce yourself." The professor continued.

I turned to look at the last woman that our professor was referring to and my forehead furrowed when I saw her staring at me venomously. "Do you know her Lis?" Sydney whispered, she also noticed the girl was looking at me.

"No." I answered but I still didn't take my eyes off of the woman with a cat-like eyes until she was the first to looked away and crossed her arms.

"I'm Jennie Ruby Jane Zee , just call me Jen and I don't like everything so don't bother to talk to me." She said seriously with her flat face, we were all surprised by what she said, even our professor left dumbfounded. She's really nowhere near how the other three introduce themselves. "That's all, can we take our sit?" The professor seems to snapped out on his dazed and nod her head reluctantly.

"Whoa, that's so hot Lis." Sydney whispered again.

Yes, that's hot, those cat-like eyes glaring at me sent shivers down to my spine, but the questions is. What did I do to her? Why is she glaring at me? I haven't seen her nor know her, this was actually the first time, but why did I feel like I have seen her somewhere?

"Lisa!" I snapped my head on my side when someone called my name and gave me a big hug. "Oh my God! I didn't expect that we will be at the same class!"

"M-me too." I said and smile at her slyly as all our classmates are looking at me, some are even shooting me some death glares.

"I'm also here Sana, just in case you didn't recognized me." Sydney snorts and waved her hand mockingly.

Shana looked at her and smiled forcedly. "Of course Kang, I can still remember that you kill my dog, so I will never forget your face." Sana teased and there's a glint of annoyance on her voice.

"Up till this day you still cannot forgive me? I didn't mean to get rid of your dog's strap and that car ran into him!" Sydney retorts, she was about to stand up but I quickly stopped her.

"That's enough, we are still in class, continue your bickering after class." I chastised them then I secretly glanced at Jennie who was still looking at me, but her gaze seemed to be worse than it was before.

Shana playfully rolled her eyes at Sydney and took her seat beside the three new students like her, at the back. "Sana is still stupid." Sydney whispered before settling down and looking ahead. I didn't answer her and listened to our professor instead when he started teaching.

After a few minutes, I suddenly felt uncomfortableness in my seat because of the feeling of someone staring at me, I also don't know why but when it comes to such thing like that, I have a strong senses. Since I was still a kid and someone would stare at me, I can feel it right away because of how strong my senses, just like now, I knew someone was looking at me from the beginning but I didn't know who and what they needed from me.

A few moments later I remembered the new student with cat-like eyes, from the moment she entered the classroom she was looking at me, is she the one who's staring that almost make a hole on my back?

I quickly turned my head to where they were sitting, I first noticed Sana who also looked at me and waved, I smiled at her before looking at Jennie and I wasn't mistaken, she was staring at me, I could even see the edge of her lips curved uplift, I just returned back when the professor called me.

"Ms.Mcklein, eyes on the front." The professor said, I lowered my head when I can feel all eyes were on me. I felt like I couldn't breathe and I was getting attacked with my anxiety, until I felt Sydney's hand holding mine so I secretly turned my head to her, she was still looking ahead but the worry on her face was so visible.

"It's ok, I'm here. Don't panic." She whispered while rubbing the back of my palm soothingly. "Relax, no one's looking at you now." She added and take a quick glance at me.

"Thank you." I mumbled as I could feel myself relaxed a little bit. I didn't pay attention again to the eyes staring at me, since I knew who it was.

After our first subject I quickly stood up and Sydney got surprised and she looked up at me. "Where are you going?" She asked.

"I'm just going out for a while, I need some air." I said before starting to walk out of the room, I was planning to walk out on the back door but I could pass Jennie's group who's still looking at me so even though I knew I would suffer, I would still prefer to go in the front where I could pass most of my classmates.

When I got out I let out a deep sigh and hold tight on the railings. Seriously, why do I still have anxiety attacks? I thought I already surpassed that, but I guess, I still wasn't really used to be looked by many eyes.

"Are you okay?" I whipped my head at my side when someone spoke. The concern on her face was so visible that I wondered why, my forehead furrowed and trying to recognize if I know the woman in front of me but I couldn't remember her. "Oh, how rude of me not to introduce myself first. I'm Aira, your classmate, I'm actually sitting in front, your Lisa Mcklein right?" She introduced herself and offered her hand.

"A-ah yeah, I'm Lisa." I said and reached for her hand and we shook hands.

"So are you okay Lisa?" She asked again as we parted our hands.

"Y-yes." I answered nervously because there was a feeling that someone is looking at me venomously so I glanced through the room and saw Jennie.

What's wrong with that girl?!

"You're pale, are you sure you're fine?"

"H-huh? Uhm yeah I'm fine. It's just that.. it's hot inside." I reasoned and returned my gaze to her.

She looked at me ludicrously and laughed softly. "As far as I know, it's winter, why are you so hot?" Suddenly, I felt ashamed of what she had said and for forgetting that it was winter now. What a lame excuse Lisa!

"I'm going to be honest, I have anxiety and I kind of felt it earlier when the professor called my name and all of our classmates looked at me." I admit and smile shyly while scratching my nape.

"Oh is that so? Why do you even looking everywhere at class time?" She scold.

"I- I was j-just looking for my pen that fell off." I lied.

"Oh okay, I thought you were also looking to our new classmates." She said and I swore that I saw her sighed in relief. "Are you okay now? Let's go inside, It's time for our next professor to arrive." She smiled at me, I nodded with a wry smile and we both went back inside.

I can feel my classmates were looking at me but I forced myself not to pay any attention and went back to my seat.

"Wow, you got yourself a girlfriend? In second fucking day of class Lisa." Sydney whispered to me as I sat down. I stared at her but she jolt her head at the front so I looked up and saw Aira looking at me, she smiled before turning away and talked to her friends. "I was really envious, the trio first waved to you, and now a popular student spoke to you."

"H-ha? Popular?" I asked in surprised.

"You don't know her?" Sydney asked in disbelief and I shook my head as an answer. "She's Amira Lee and also known as Aisha, a daughter of one of the richest businessmen, they owned a lot of car rental place and I heard she's a brat."

"I-I should have avoided her from now on."

"What? Are you crazy? Why are you going to avoid her? Damn it Lis, the blessings are voluntarily coming to your neck and you still dared to throw away the food?"

"Are you stupid? If we get closer, a lot of students will to come to me, especially her suitors, you know how much I hate getting attention and I don't want people to come at me." I said defensively.

"You're right, after all, she surely have a lot of pursuers." She agreed while nodding her head. "But I just noticed? You are attracting a lot of girls lately, do you see the new student behind? Just a little more and you'll melt in your seat."

I laughed softly as I understood what Sydney meant. "Leave her alone, she'll eventually get tired of looking at me." I said chuckling and sat straight when the professor arrives for our next subject.

"Just in case you'll need a back up with your girls, just call me. I will help you."

"Fuck you!" I said giggling and I barely punched her on her side.

After our morning class, Sana immediately approached us and invited us to have lunch with them, so it was the three students that Dad was referring to as Sana's friends who had come from Japan that night.

Sydney and I refused because we needed to talk to Bambam and Yves for our plan to join the battle underground, we planned that we will meet up on the rooftop so no one would bother us.

When we arrived at the rooftop the two were already waiting for us with their lunch, Sydney and I was packing our own food, especially that we are saving money for mom's medicine, sometimes I'm ashamed of Sydney and her parents for the amount they have helped us, but they keep saying that's how are true friends, helping each other. Once Mom become ok, I will give back everything they helped us, even though they didn't ask for a replacement, I was still decisive in my plan returning the favor.

"So when do we start the practice?" Yves asked while chewing her food.

"When I spoke to Byulie, because she's the one who will register us, unfortunately she cannot join us." Sydney told us melancholy.

"Let it go, you're also good at dancing, don't worry." Bambam joked and Sydney punched her in the shoulder but he just laugh at her.

"Just tell me so I can make time, you know I still have work after school." I chime in and they all stopped and looked at me.

"Lis, if we win the first fight, you need to quit on your job." Sydney said causing me to spit out the juice in my mouth. "Lisa you're so gross!" She complained but isn't it because of her that I spit out the juice?!

"Are you dumb? It's just first win and yet, you want me to quit on my job? What if the second time, we didn't win? Where can I get the money for my education and for my mom's medicine?!"

"Lis, once we win the first fight, that's already a big help, and all I'm trying to say is, if you continue your work, you might get sick because you combine study, practice and work." She scolds and smacked my head.

"I can do that! Don't you trust your best friend?"

"I have trust in you, it's just that you might overworked yourself." She said while shaking her head.

I took a deep breath before I wrapped my arms on her waist. "Just relax, I can do it all for Mom." I told her with a smile.

She glanced at me before shaking her head again amusingly. "Alright, it's for Aunt." She said and removed my hand from her shoulder before continuing her food.
