Nathaniel and Bethlehem sat across each other in Lord Lyon's carriage. Both absentmindedly staring out the window and watching the forest go by. Next to them was a knocked out cold Lyon, a pair of X marks on his eyes. 'Motion sickness again.' The couple thought absentmindedly.
They had been travelling for 3 days now and were finally in Maneerla. The city was beyond beautiful. The carriage went past the town and Bethlehem couldn't help but squeal at the little kids running around and playing. Nathaniel looked at her with so much fondness and admiration. He studied her features, letting his finger swipe one of her locks back.
She grinned at and smiled, whispering a quick 'I love you' to which he immediately replied to with his own. The carriage came to a stop, making Lyon sprout back to life. The trio got off and stepped in front of the large crimson gate.
"State your name and business." One of the guards asked. "Its Lord Lyon and I came here to have a word with Sirius Romanov." The guards bowed down and opened the gate to the palace. To Lyon's suprise, Sirius and Zohar were already at the door waiting for them. Lyon's eyes wondered over Zohar's figure.
'This is wolf that Sirius must have taken in. Poor boy.' He offered a gentle smile towards Zohar , to which Zohar smiled back gently. Sirius looked at their interaction with visible distress. 'He's never smiled at me like that.'
"Count Sirius, its been a long time." Lyon happily stated. He pulled the vampire into a hug and patted his back quite loudly. "That hurts you bastard." "Oops my bad." He then turned to Zohar and offered a hand. The wolf quickly shook his hand and smiled. "And you must be?" "Zohar Amiel, My Lord."
"Its a pleasure to meet you Zohar." "Likewise."

Nathaniel and Bethlehem were enjoying their company time in the garden. "The poor wolf boy. He has to live with the man who took his home." Bethlehem solemnly stated. Nathaniel laid his head on her chest and sighed. "I'm just glad the poor boy isn't being tortured. Knowing the temper of the count, I wouldn't lay that possibility to rest. Plus he's not only one as well. His older brother serves as an attendant for Nile Barragan." Nathaniel nodded, taking in the information.
The horrors that Sirius had committed had turned their stomachs inside out. How one can go to such lengths to eradicate an entire group of people was beyond them. Then again, the couple were nothing but mere humans. Understanding the reason behind such monstrosity was incredibly difficult.
