They were cheerful and calm, almost as if a giant sinister creature wasn't disrupting their flow of life. The villagers vehemently stared as Bethlehem stepped forward towards the chief. "Where exactly is the hydra so we can finish the job? " She asked zealously.
The chief hopped on to one foot then the other. He turned around walking off much to the couple's confusion. He snapped his fingers and a group of men started rushing towards them.
" Bethlehem! '' Nathaniel shrieked. Bethlehem was able to get the townsmen off her, do a backflip and get her whip. She then whipped her whip, which then circled around one of the men who was on top of her leg. She then dragged the whip, causing him to trip and slide over to her. Nathaniel then took a silver dagger, flipped it and aimed the blade over the man's heart.
"Wait!" The old man yelled anxiously. Nathaniel stalled for a second, looking up to Bethlehem. "It was a test for my child. A test I say." The couple stared at the old man with a blank look on their face. Bethlehem broke out into a fit of dark laughter. Nathaniel shivered at the sight of his wife.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" She howled. The townsmen looked around nervously before bowing their heads down in apology. "So am I assuming there still isn't a hydra here and we were called for another reason." Nathaniel calmly stated, placing a hand on his fuming wife's shoulder.
"Hehe correct. We- um- well you see there is a shortage of supply of blood." The chief nervously stated. The human couple looked at each other with bleached looks. "Don't say what you're going to say." Bethlehem squeaked. The chief matched her bleached look. He started to stammer all over the place, flailing his arms all over the place. "Oh god no my dear child. We've got plenty of blood for the year. More like our cattle had been stolen."
The couple nodded there, signaling for the old man to carry on his story. "Two people in maroon cloakes had been spotted by two of our children. They seemed to have used teleportation magic to transport the cattle away." Bethlehem and Nathaniel knowingly looked at each other .
'The Belovian Cult. ' They both ominously thought.
