By the time Kol had managed to drag himself to the edge of the cherry blossom park, it was late into the night. His asshole of a roommate probably didn't even realize he was gone.

Haochen wasn't one to interfere with Kol's personal affairs. He doubted the boy would check if he'd really bunked the lecture this afternoon on purpose, or not.

Whatever Xavier had done to him had debilitated him for the longest time. Every time the thought of reporting Xavier entered his mind, his body would instantly freeze, and he wouldn't be able to move for the next few minutes.

Eventually, after hours of not getting anywhere, he'd made the connection. So, he changed his thoughts to 'I'm not reporting Xavier, I'm trying to get to my room,'

The problem was that he didn't really intend on not trying to report Xavier, and the thought 'As if!' kept popping up in his mind, causing him to freeze yet again.
