Chapter 6

"What do you mean?" Sakura questioned her daughter. Glancing at Sasuke, she could tell that he was curious to know as well.

"Well, you see, dad and Naruto-san have never really acted the same way as you or Hinata-san did to them. When I noticed this, I just thought that boys had a different way of loving. But now that I hear that dad never loved you-" Sakura winced. "-I'm wondering if that means that Naruto-san never loved his wife either."

Sasuke blinked surprised, before turning to Sakura. "She definitely got that from me." The statement brought out an airy laugh out of the pink haired girl, distracting her from her tear stained cheeks.

Glad to have gotten a reaction out of his friend, Sasuke turned back to his daughter. "One day, you are going to be a great shinobi, but for now, I think we should let the Uzumaki's sort out their own problems. We have no right to meddle in their business."

The young girl nodded up at her father, and then proceeded to pester her mom about going to a friend's house. Sighing, Sasuke stood up and walked out of the house, exchanging a quick farewell with Sakura.

As the man headed back to his own apartment he couldn't help but sigh with relief. Good thing that's over. I'm glad Sarada took it so well. She's mature for her age. As he was walking, he spotted red out of the corner of his eye. Mmmm, tomatoes. Perhaps I should get some before I meet up with Gaara tonight.
