Adam Anderson

Adam Anderson, the so-called "Prince" of the university, had just finished his lunch and was currently talking with his friends. He had short blonde hair and a pair of green eyes that would make any girl's legs turn weak if he stared at them for too long. His height was one-hundred-eighty-eight centimeters which easily placed him in the tall, white, and handsome men category.

There were still a few minutes before lunch was over, so he and his friends decided to spend their time leisurely in the open space of the university where several benches were located. The shade of the trees protected them from the sun and it also allowed him to have a good vantage point of the different rooms in the university.

Because of his good looks, Adam was always at the receiving end of confessions. There were countless girls who had confessed to him, but he turned all of them down. The reason? He had a huge crush on Yue Ying and he vowed to himself that he would make the Ice Princess his girlfriend.

He tried various means to create "opportunities" for the two of them to meet. However, the number one beauty in school didn't even spare him a glance. Adam wasn't fazed at first, he thought that Yue was only playing hard to get. After all, there wasn't a girl in this school that could resist his charms.

Although there were many beautiful girls at his beck and call, he felt that they were very plain compared to Yue. He wanted to make her his lover. He wanted to conquer her heart and body and make her unable to live without him.

Last Thursday, he used his connections to make an opportunity for him to talk to Yue in private. The plan that he had in mind was to confess to the girl. He was very confident that after Yue learned of his feelings for her, she would reveal her true feelings for him as well.

It was a perfect plan and should have worked accordingly. The Ice Princess listened to his confession in silence. Seeing that there was no change in her expression Adam thought that she had silently agreed to his confession. But Yue's next words made his confident smile stiffen.

"Who are you?" Yue asked with her usual cold tone.

"Adam," Adam answered. He thought that Yue was only joking. "Adam Anderson."

How could she not know someone as famous and good looking as him? Is she just playing hard to get or she thinks that playing dumb would make her more appealing to me?

"Sorry, I don't know you and I have no interest in having a relationship with anyone. Is that all?"

"Wh-What did you say?"

"I said I have no interest in having a relationship with anyone."

"You're joking, right? You're just saying these things in order to play hard to get, right?" Adam asked with a smile. Although he was smiling, deep inside he was feeling frustrated. How could this girl look at him as if he was just a nobody?

He was the prince of the university. The number one idol of the girls and the man they wanted to become their lover. But in front of the Ice Princess he was nothing. Adam felt his confidence collapse under that cold and aloof gaze.

Yue Ying gave Adams a sidelong glance before leaving him alone on the rooftop of the school. She didn't even bother to answer his question. Adam stayed on the rooftop until night came. He still couldn't accept that HE of all people was rejected by the girl he liked.

He was unresigned and felt anger rising in his heart. The Prince vowed that he wouldn't give up and make Yue submit to him. Morning came and the bottled anger inside him was still raging. When he opened his locker, he found a letter and knew that another confession was waiting for him.

'Good,' Adam smirked. 'An opportunity has come to vent out my frustration.'

He opened the letter and checked its contents. There was no name written in it. Only the time and place was mentioned. When classes were over, Adam leisurely walked to the rooftop. It was very ironic. He was just here yesterday to confess to the girl she liked. Now, he was going to be confessed to in the same place where he was rejected.

'I don't know who you are, but your timing is impeccable,' Adam smirked. 'I'll give you an answer that you will never forget in your life.'

When the door to the rooftop opened, a familiar girl appeared before him. He had seen and heard of this girl's exploits in the past. She was known as the "Kung-fu Panda" of the university because she was chubby and knew martial arts.

Adam looked at the girl in front of him and scrutinized her from head to toe. He had to admit, the girl didn't look half bad. Although she was quite chubby, her face was pretty. Even so, Adam had seen girls prettier than her. Girls that were more beautiful than her. He didn't find her appealing and thought of her as just one of those countless girls who had fallen in love with him.

Abbie started her confession and Adam listened to it in silence. Her confession was very ordinary. Nothing stood out. He had heard better ones. More dramatic ones. He had heard so many that he was sick and tired of them.

Even so, in order to vent out his frustration he listened patiently and even smiled at the girl. After the confession ended, he watched as the girl squirmed uncomfortably under his gaze.

'Yes, this is it,' Adam thought. 'This is how girls should act when they are in front of me.'

Adam could still vividly remember Yue Ying's indifferent gaze as she listened to his confession. The thought ignited the fury that he had been holding back since yesterday, and a sinister grin appeared on his handsome face.

When girls confessed to him in the past, he rejected them politely. He even thanked them for their feelings for him. Those things would not happen on this day. This day he would humiliate this girl. He would make sure that she would never dare to raise her head when she saw him again.

And that was what he did. He hurled insults at her. The more he humiliated her, the more happy he felt. Even when he saw tears falling down the side of her face he didn't care. All his pent up frustrations, his fury, and dejection were laid bare, and Abbie Matthews took it all.

A few minutes passed and the chubby girl fled the rooftop in tears. Seeing that scene made Adam feel an overwhelming sense of superiority. Little did he know that thanks to what he did, a certain little boy had found his happiness.

A happiness that he would treasure for the rest of his life.
