Mu Yue Fights Xiao Yan

The two girls arrived at the point exchange. The items were displayed and grouped according to their type. While looking around, they noticed that the value ratio of the points to gold was roughly 10:1.

'Maybe the items will be cheaper than outside?' Mu Yue thought. If it was almost similar, she would rather use her points fon using the Cultivation Pagoda rather than buying items.

They then arrived at the area where the items for Spell Cultivators are displayed. Mu Yue then asked, "Are there items that you would recommend for me to buy?"

"Hmm… Spell cultivators mostly buy items that can help them to survive. They buy defensive and mobility items. As for offense, there are rings that have elemental gem imbued like mine." Xiao Yan said as she shows Mu Yue her ring.

"You channel your energy through the ring. That's why multiple rings will not make someone stronger." Xiao Yan added.

"Then are these items good to buy with points or should I buy them outside with gold." Mu Yue asked.

"It's up to you. If you have a lot of gold, you can buy them outside. But if you wish to save, buy them here."

Mu Yue decided to just buy a tier 1 ring. She was not sure if she could cast spells at the Foundation Establishment so she decided not to buy higher tier rings.

They then went to an area for cultivation materials. She wanted to buy items that have yin energy or ice affinity to absorb. She looked around and did not find anything special.

"If you want to increase the yin energy of your body or strengthen your ice, these items are not suitable. What you need would be rare things, like the one you bought from the auction. You could look for it outside when we visit cities." Xiao Yan said.

Before they leave, Mu Yue decided to buy a bottle of low-grade Qi Gathering pills which she will use when she cultivates for 10 hours inside the Cultivation pagoda. She spent 300 points on buying the ring and 150 points for the pills.

"I have bought the things I wanted to buy. We could begin our fight after lunch." Mu Yue said.

They ate lunch and headed towards the training grounds.

The two then went to their positions. When the fight started, both of them cast single-target spells.

"Fire Bolt"

Xiao Yan finished her casting first. Mu Yue had no choice but to dodge. This however did not distract her from finishing her spell.

"Ice Shard"

Xiao Yan dodges the spell and then finished casting one. She decided to let a 'Fire Ball' float beside her. Mu Yue saw this and prepares to cast 'Ice Wall'.

When Xiao Yan finished what she wanted to do, she then launched the fireball. Mu Yue then created an ice wall in front of her using her spell. The fireball collided to the ice wall and exploded, sending chunks of ice towards Mu Yue.

Mu Yue crossed her hands in front of her head to block the ice chunks. She did not expect that her wall of ice was not able to endure the attack and was even sent flying towards her. As her vision was blocked, a 'Fire Bolt' spell was launched towards her.

"Agh…" Mu Yue groaned. Although it was blocked by her protective suit, the impact still caused some pain to her hands which were used to block the attack.

Not letting Mu Yue recover, Xiao Yan kept on launching Fire Bolt spells as soon as she finishes casting them.

Mu Yue blocked with one hand while she cast with the other one. One 'Fire Bolt' spell was blocked by her hand while another one was dodged by her. She then finished casting her spell and launched it.

"Ice Wall"

A wall of ice appeared in front of her. The 'Fire Bolt' spells landed on it but it did not break. This gave Mu Yue some time to recover.

Xiao Yan stopped sending spells towards Mu Yue. She then decided to cast 'Fire Ball' spells instead.

After recovering, Mu Yue decided to stack two 'Ice Shard' spells. When she removed the wall of ice in front of her she saw Xiao Yan already launching two 'Fire Ball' spells toward her.

Mu Yue launched her 'Ice Shard' spells towards the fireballs. The spells exploded mid-air. She then heard Xiao Yan's voice.

"Be careful Mu Yue, I'll attack harder now!"
