Junior's Tournament (11)

He then dashed towards Mu Yue, his sword over his head. His front was open yet Mu Yue felt that she wouldn't be able to exploit this. Her first instinct was to flee from his attack.

No time to think, she decided to follow her instincts. As the guy slash downwards, Mu Yue dodges to the side.

It was then that the guy's sword, instead of striking towards the ground, smoothly changed trajectory and went towards Mu Yue. It was rather sudden so Mu Yue only managed to put her sword between her and the attack. Her opponent's attack landed on her sword yet it did not stop. It wasn't a solid block, so the attack knocked her away.

She was knocked quite far as the attack landed at her when she was in mid-air. It was then she knew that she made a mistake of being purely on the defensive. She was an agile-type, so she would have a disadvantage in defending against strong attacks.

She quickly stood up and dashed forward. Her advantage was being agile so she would do better when attacking.

Her opponent seems to have heavy attacks like Jun Qing yet he was clearly faster than him. And the way he smoothly changed the trajectory of his attacks, it was definitely not a reflex movement and was surely a practiced skill.

Exchanging blows with each other resulted on both sides receiving a similar amount of damage. However, Mu Yue has lesser remaining energy because of her initial offensive. She really wanted to use her spells as a trump card but she can't because it was a battle for the Weapon Cultivators.

'I'm weaker in strength but I'm more agile. However, this advantage won't be able to help me win this exchanges. Should I try to make him fall the platform?'

It was a good plan but Mu Yue guess that her opponent might know what she was going to do. So she won't actively pursue on doing it, unless given a really good opportunity.

Her opponent seem to have the same cultivation as her. As for skills, she can't tell who was better as they have different fighting styles. The plan on having a sure-win made her quite reckless.

Slowly, she was getting tired because of the continuing battle. Her opponent was the same but as a boy, he will surely have a better stamina and will surely last longer. She decided to be more aggressive and risk it all!

"Rupture Slash"

"Rain Strike"

"Pulse Blade"

She initiated multiple techniques whenever she can. It was successful on suppressing her opponent. But using a lot of the techniques means she will not last long enough.

'Slash, thrust, cut. End the fight as fast as I can. Destroy his spiritual energy that covers his body and I can make him bleed to death!'

She did not realize the change of her thoughts as she only wanted to win the duel. It was the first time she fought this kind of battles. Although something similar happened when fighting beasts, she was not pressured as she had her teammates.

"Damn it!" The guy blurted out as he was defending from the attacks of Mu Yue.

'This girl suddenly became faster and stronger! Is this a technique similar to berserk?'

Mu Yue landed another attack and the spiritual energy that covered the guy broke. She then started doing as much damage as possible, giving more pressure to the guy. She now mostly stopped defending, only did it if it does not slow her attacks. She now received more hits, but she did not care.

It was then that she saw the edge of the platform behind the guy. She slowly calmed and felt that she was now on the verge of being drained, her attacks getting slower and lighter. With all she had, she slashes her sword towards the guy, knocking him out of the stage.

Her opponents when out of bounds which means she won the fight. She did not even wait for the referee to finish announcing her victory as she jumped out of the platform after some time and went straight towards Xiao Yan.

The guy was currently shocked when he saw the elevated platform in front of him. He then connected the dots and realized that he went out of bounds. He glares towards Mu Yue and saw her quickly going away not even bothering about the referee's announcement. This made him even more angry!
