Junior's Tournament (13)

"To determine the top 10 for the Combat Tournament, each one of the 80 students will have to win a total of 3 duels. Also, there will be 10 blocks and in each block, there will not be two students that are in the same school."

"The top 3 winners for each combat profession will be directly distributed to the first 9 blocks. As for the others, luck will decide where you will be placed. We will have all the students of a school to go to the middle platform to determine which block they will go to. A box will be placed which contains the numbers of the available blocks. With this, we can avoid having two students of the same school in a same block."

The announcement was heard by all the people in the site. It was not mentioned how the top 10 will compete but it was not necessary to know. They just thought that the staffs will announce it after the top 10 were decided.

Each block will occupy a small platform where they will have their battles. All battles will be done simultaneously as the staffs does not wat to waste time for the weak's battles. Only when it's the top ten will they use the middle platform and only one fight at a time.

The reason why each school were required to being ten students was because there was a chance that they can monopolize the rankings. This never happened throughout their history as finding a batch of promising talents was almost impossible for a school. If a talent was found, they will be fought over by all the schools.

It was a simple setup. Win and you will advance while losing means elimination. Mu Yue understood this as it was similar to how yesterday's competitions happened. She was just glad that they won't meet their schoolmates before the top 10 were decided. She would feel bad to be the reason for a schoolmate's elimination.

One by one, the names of the schools were called out and their students went to the middle platform. Mu Yue, Xiao Yan, and Fei Hong were already given a block since they reach the top 3 of their profession's competition. When it was their turn, the staff removed the numbers of the blocks they were at so the others won't be able to pick it.

Mu Yue and Xiao Yan went to their respective stages. They have already talked to each other what they will do when they met. However, with the current setup, they first have to be the winners of their blocks to even have the chance of meeting each other in a stage.

Mu Yue checked the cultivation level of the students in her block. They were all bellow her, but there might be those who hid their true prowess so she will have to observe them when they fight. This way, she will be more prepared and not be caught off guard like what happened last time.

Her first opponent was a female Spell Cultivator. Mu Yue respects the female cultivators especially the ones who reach here. However, this does not mean that he will go easy on her. At least she will not use any underhanded tactics.

She had multiple experiences of dealing with Spell Cultivators because of sparring with Xiao Yan and Liu Yang. She also noticed that the female cultivators she knew of were spell wielders and haven't seen a girl being the other types. This made her proud by a little bit.

As the battle starts, she dashes forward to decrease the distance between them as fast as possible. She does not want to reveal that she knew how to cast spells so she only sent some 'Pulse Blade' to distract her opponent. It did not interrupt her opponent's casting but the technique managed to slow it down.

Her opponent's casting speed decreased but she was still able to cast four spells which were launched towards her, these were 'Wind Blade' spells. A single target spell of Air Spell Cultivators. Their casting speed was higher than the others because a lot of the environment's have an abundance of air.

Although the spell was made with air, it was still visible to the naked eye so Mu Yue could still block some. But slashing the spells only managed to decrease their damage as they still continue to land on her body even after being slashed.
