Mu Yue, an orphan who stumbled upon an inheritance, walked the path of cultivation to get strong. To see her teacher in person and perhaps find her family.

"No, you are a pure-blooded. Those that have royal blood running on their veins will always become a pure-blood even if the parents are not of the same race. The only exception is if the person chose to abandon being a bearer of the royal blood. Royal blood does not mix with other types of blood, either you only have it or not. The same applies to the royal blood of our allies, the elves."


Mu Yue does not care if she is a pureblood or not. So long as it doesn't interfere with her relationship with Xiao Yan, she is okay with it.


"He is doing a task. Humans have an alliance that became a symbol of the human race. Your father, by being with me, angered the people in power of that alliance. However, your father is a strong man and has his own influence. They cannot directly interfere with our relationship nor kill him hence he was given an almost impossible task just so we get separated. It has been around 20 years since I last saw him."


This gave fear to Mu Yue as well as confusion. "Then would I have difficulties with my relationship with Xiao Yan? Also, I am only 14 years old..."


"If 'Xiao Yan' whom you speak of has a high standing in the human race, then there might be problems. If not, I can use my authority to have you two together. However, I still need to see her before I allow you to be with her. I know I was not a good mother to you but I still have to take care of you. As for how you came to be if your father and I haven't seen each other for 20 years, your birth was not natural."


As far as Mu Yue knows, Xiao Yan was a part of the Phoenix Family. Xiao Yan also used that identity to talk with those celestials hence Mu Yue guessed that the Phoenix Family was influential enough for those celestials to be respectful to Xiao Yan.


"Those that have high strength will have difficulties having offsprings. Because of this, the past royals created an artifact that will solve this. The artifact only needs some blood from both partners before it starts working. However, it takes longer than pregnancy since it needs 90 months before the baby is born. The baby that comes out of the artifact is the same as those that came naturally so you do not need to be worried. Only the process differ."


Mu Yue now knows some information about her birth. Although it was far from normal, at least there were no implications.


"Can I know more of the members of the blood race? How we differ from other races? Also, it is my first time hearing that there is a race of elves." Mu Yue kept asking to satisfy her curiosity. There was so much that she does not know about the world.


Mu Yue's mother just smiled at this. "I will tell you those but not now. I will first properly introduce myself since I haven't done it. My name is Xue Ruan Xin, the current queen of the blood race as well as your mother."


Mu Yue blanked out for a bit before quickly introducing herself in return. "My name is Huang Mu Yue. My surname was from my adoptive father while my name was taken from a plaque that was beside me when I was found. I am a sword cultivator but I can control ice and use it similar to a spell because of my cultivation method and physique. I'm sorry as I forgot to introduce myself when we first met."


"It's fine. Now it's my turn to ask questions first before I answer what you wanted to know earlier if you do not mind. Can you accept changing your surname to Xue?"


Mu Yue instantly answered, "I do not want to. Not that I hate having that surname but I do not like removing my adoptive father's surname."


"I see... Then let us make a compromise. You will have two identities. An identity of a princess of the blood race where you will need to use my surname and identity of a human that has your surname. Sorry but changing surnames is required for you to become a princess."
