~~Rose's P.O.V~~
This is wrong.
Don't do this.
Don't betray Laura.
Don't break your promise.
My body said yes. But my mind scram no. I was in an internal battle with myself and I lost myself at Kyle's next words.
"You're my Aphrodite, Rose. My one and only..." And with that said, he smashed his lips onto mine, unable to hold back the moan that escaped my lips as his soft lips attacked my own in a fierce battle.
My hands roamed his chiseled chest whilst his held me firmly around the waist, knowing that if he let go, I'd lose my balance and fall to the ground. His hands, lips and cologne invaded my senses, making me forget everything going on around us until one thought hit my head.
"How could you...?" She whispers, hurt and pain clearly evident on her face.
"Laura, listen to me. It wasn't me-" I try to explain but she cuts me off, making me feel even more worse.
"NO! YOU'RE LYING! You said you were done with boys like him but as soon as I finally start liking someone, you go and eat his face like a whore!" She yells as the tears spill down her face...
My eyes open wide in realisation and it took all of the energy left in me to push him back, gasping for air. "Y-you...HOW COULD YOU!?" I yell, pointing a finger at him, whilst he only smirks in return.
"Oh don't act like you didn't enjoy it, Rose."
"I cant believe you..."
"Seduced you? Lured you in? Hypnotised you with my charms?" Kyle listed huskily as he continues to smirk, biting the corner of his bottom lip.
"You jerk! You knew I'd fall for it and you used that against me! You freakin sweet talked me!" I was beyond furious to the point where tears began to spill down my eyes. I tug at my hair as I begin to pace back and forth. "Look what you've done. My eyes are leaking now!" With that said, I storm off past him, ashamed of him seeing me crying like a baby. I borrow the book and leave to go and hide under my blanket for the rest of eternity.
I have never felt so guilty in my life.
I'm so stupid! How will I face Laura? What if she finds out? What if she hates me?
Its sad how it can take years to build a friendship where you can finally begin to trust the person with your deepest secrets, only for it to all fall apart in a matter of seconds, because one failed to keep the trust between them. Stupidly enough, the cause for most of the broken friendships, is boys.
Boys.
Cant live with them. Cant live without them.
They all tell you to stop looking for the 'perfect prince charming'. The one that will fulfill your desires, the one that will make you feel beautiful even in your worst situation, the one that will love you unconditionally for as long as you both live, is apparently known to a lot of people to be just a mere fantasy, because the so called 'prince charming' does not exist.
What those people don't know is that, to love someone unconditionally and to call them 'perfect', means to see the good in the person and not point out their imperfections. After all, no one is perfect. We all have flaws. We've all done mistakes. But, accepting the good and bad in the one you love, will make him/her perfect enough to want them in your life forever.
However, to have any sort of relationship with someone, you would need trust. Without it, problems would arise and the end to the relationship will come as quick as it started.
What I'm having difficulty with right now, is telling Laura the truth about what happened between Kyle and I at the library. I either tell her, watch her get angry and hate me for the rest of my life because that wont be the first time we have kissed. Or I don't tell her and wait till she finds out where she will ignore me for eternity and may even murder me when I'm asleep.
You're probably thinking, 'Woah Rose, a little too far there. Murder? Really?'
Oh but yes, murder. You'd be surprised what a jealous female is capable of.
"As part of your curriculum, it is compulsory you all complete two weeks of work experience to give you a feel of what it is like to be as an employee." The careers adviser says with a serious expression. "You will need to find a placement by the end of the week and make sure you choose a place where you have an interest in. This is not a time for you to 'chill out'." She continues as she hands out a placement form. "This experience will give you an idea of whether or not, your future career path is suitable for you. Because if not, then you'd be able to chose something else as a future job and not regret and sulk about it when you start your first day of work in a few years time."
"I'd love to work at a fashion boutique or something!" Laura exclaims from beside me and I give her a smile.
"I'd love to work at the hospital with children." I say, grinning in excitement. Working with sick children had been something I had always wished to achieve. To be able to make them feel happy and just put a smile on their faces, would be all that I want. I want to show them that even though their life expectancy has decreased due to their illness, there's still so much more they can do and achieve and that they should make the most of the time they have left.
"Awh, that's cute Rosie." Malcolm says as he pinches my cheek, which earned him a punch.
"Dont call me Rosie!" I hiss, glaring at him.
"Geez, calm your mad titties down." He mutters.
"Whatever." I roll my eyes. "Anyways, where do you want to work?" I ask Malcolm.
He grins. "Well, I actually would like to work as a policeman. You know, get behind the scenes of serious crimes, arrest people, aim my gun at them and say the all too famous line 'put your hands up and don't speak. Anything said will be used against you'. Oh and I'll be in my sexy officer uniform, making the whole population drool."
I roll my eyes. "Seriously? You do know how many people have died on the job, right?"
Malcolm only shrugs back and points his gun looking fingers at me, and makes a 'pow' sound as if to show me he just shot me. I shake my head disappointingly. "Would you seriously kill your best friend Mally?"
"Don't call me that!" He groans and I laugh.
"Oh looks like the tables have been turned Mally wally."
"Hey, has anyone seen Kyle?" Laura questions as she looks up from her phone. "He's not answering my texts.
"Don't know, don't care." I shrug just as Malcolm shakes his head no, frowning as he looks at me.
"He wasn't in the room when I woke up." Mal says and Laura begins to worry.
"What if he's hurt!? Or worse!" Laura panics.
"I'm sure he's fine Laura." I assure her as I begin to pack my books up as the bell rang, signalling the end of the period.
"I have another class to get to but if you see him, can you text me. please?" Laura pleads desperately and I sigh giving in, knowing I don't have any more classes for the day.
"Yeah sure."
Walking towards the library to finish my search for the history assignment since I only borrowed one book and that wasn't enough, I look out the window as I walk down the corridor, only to stop dead in my track. Outside, I could see Kyle sneaking in through the gates and my dad was there helping him whilst some other dude was talking to my dad, the principal.
What the bleeping cows is going on?
