~~Rose's P.O.V~~
"Who's folder is that?"
"Uhh n-no one's." Lewis attempts to hide the folder behind him, only to spill the papers everywhere. He panics as he tries to pick them all up and I walk over to help.
Why is he acting like this?
"Lewis, what is with you? Why are you acting like this?" I question picking up a paper on the ground.
"NO!" He yells and snatches the paper from my hands, leaving me frowning in confusion.
"Uhh...Sorry, I meant that this folder is unnecessary and we should continue to look for his folder before we get caught." He corrects as he clears his throat awkwardly.
"You think that whole 'panic mode Lewis' didn't raise my suspicions? I will say this one more time, Lou. Who's folder is that?"
He sighs and turns around. "Don't worry about it, its someone you don't know." He replies back hastily.
"Don't lie t-"
"Rose!?" A deep voice snaps, catching me off guard as the lights flicker on.
My eyes widen as I knew that we had been caught. "D-dad...I was just uhhh..."
"Don't bother Rose, I have cameras installed in here." My father warns sternly, crossing his arms.
I look down, ashamed of my actions. I hated it when my dad got angry at me, especially when its disappointment. But worst of all, I felt horrible for dragging Lewis with me, even though he willingly came.
"I expected better from you, Lewis."
"I'm sorry sir." He apologises.
"It was my fault. I forced him to come. You cant expel him." I say, just as Lewis's eye widen and stares at me with shock.
"No-"
I cut Lewis off. "Yes it was! I forced you to come, so I take the blame. Please dad, don't punish him, it was me." I plead just as my mum comes in.
"Oh, what is going on in here, dear? Are you all having a secret gathering this late at night?" Mum says amused.
"No, I caught these too snooping around in my office."
"Oh, Rose! Is this true?"
I nod my head yes, avoiding eye contact.
"Darling, he may be your father, but he still is the principal too and he cant give you any special treatment; It wont be fair." She explains as she pulls me in for a hug and I notice Lewis wincing as he shifted from foot to foot.
"I know, but he should only punish me."
"I'll think about this tomorrow, we should all be getting in to bed." My dad says sternly and we all nod as Lewis and I walk out, our shoulders slumped.
"I'm sorry." I say softly, breaking the silence between us as we both walk silently back to our dorms.
He sighs and stops in his spot. "No, i'm sorry for yelling."
"Well I guess its plan C then." I mutter to myself.
"Woah! Hang on there flower pot." Lewis stops abruptly as he stares at me with bewilderment. "You have a plan C!? Have you seriously come up with twenty six back up plans.!?"
"Uhm duuh! You should know that most girls are still alive because they over analyse everything in case of potential death or harm and they have to make sure there is always a back up plan, unlike you boys; you just go for it and not even care if you get killed in the process! I'd say us girls make good spies."
"Yeah, whatever." He says, rolling his eyes. "So what is this so called plan C?"
"Simple. I just play Kyle's own game; somehow seduce him to get him to speak." I shrug, not expecting Lewis to push me against the wall with an angry glare on his face.
"No!"
"No?" I question out of breath from the shock of his sudden action.
"Yes, Rose. I said no! You'll only end up hurting yourself because Kyle is dangerous. He is like a sharp thorn; tempting to touch despite knowing that you'll get hurt if you touch it."
I knew Lewis's words were true. We all know how much it can hurt to be poked with a thorn, yet we still touch it, somewhat expecting a different result. It just seems oddly tempting and when you do get poked by one, then do you realise that you should of trusted your brain and not made the stupid decision. Yet sometimes, we don't see the thorns. We are too focused on the beauty of the rose, to notice the sharp spikes and when admiring the beautiful creation too closely, we get hurt.
I guess that's one way to describe boys; beautiful but get too close, and the pain comes quicker than you can say 'ouch'.
"L-lewis...please move.." I plead softly, the close proximity allowing his cool breath to fan my face.
"Not until you promise to not go with your crazy plan." He whispers back, staring deeply into my eyes.
I clench my teeth, not believing him. "Look, you cant just tell me what to do. I know the consequences and I am willing to risk it. There's just something about Kyle that... intrigues me. I cant explain it but-"
I was rudely interrupted when his lips met my own. The kiss was slow, almost like he was taking his time to express everything he felt through it. My mind was in a haze. It was all over the place. I didn't kiss back, still trying to get my head around this.
When he finally pulled back, he stares into my eyes and caresses my cheek. "Trust me Rose." He whispers with a small smile before pulling his body away from mine and entering his dorm that I didn't notice.
My hands tremble, touching my lips where the feel of his lips were not so long ago.
'Its funny isn't it? The ones we develop feelings for, are the ones who don't see it. It seems like everyone else can except the person.'
"Oh no..." I cover my mouth from shock, not expecting this newly found information. Lewis? He? Crush? No....
