Before I step inside the van, I take a last tour of the summer camp.
"I'm going to miss this place." I murmur to myself.
I keep discerning this wonderful place, where we had fun with the kids, outdoor activities as we won the game, and also when Taehyung surprised me with the sky lantern at the pond which made me happy. He did his best to make it up for me and it's very sweet as he did this whole surprise just to make me happy.
"I don't know how he knows about the sky lantern. Did he ask Jungmin about this?" I murmur.
It's my dream to see the sky lantern in the middle of the night and for me, it's sentimental if I'm with someone whilst contemplating the sky lantern.
I turn around when hearing heavy footsteps from behind and there I glimpse Taehyung, who's standing behind me and says "Jungmin told me about the sky lantern."
My lips form a smile when he walks closer to me and stands beside me whilst watching the peaceful pond.
"He told me that it's your dream to watch the sky lanterns so the guys helped me to assemble all the sky lanterns for the surprise." I glance at him as suddenly, hug him from his side and he wraps the left arm around my shoulder whilst his fingers brush the strands of my hair.
"I'm so glad that you did that to me so thank you. I appreciate it." I whisper.
"Did I tell you that I'll make it up to you?" I nod as I nuzzle myself to him.
"That's why I'm thanking you."
"Then, you're welcome, and also thank you for giving me another chance." He unwraps his arms around me. His hand reaches my both hands and clasps around it as he strokes my outer palm by his thumb.
"We should go back to the van before they notice that we're gone." I nod as I follow him behind.
_______
"I can't believe we're leaving that peaceful place." I sigh as I lean my face at the window of the car while staring at the summer camp.
"We can go back next year. My mother asked me if we want to be a counselor again for next year." I glance at Jinwoo with an enthusiast inside my eyes. He keeps his gaze away when he feels uneasy.
"Okay MinMin, don't look at my boyfriend like that." I gape at Jungmin, who's glaring at me yet a smirk form on my lips when realizing that my team was a champion.
"Oh, my lovely twins, don't forget our deal. You'll be doing our chores for the whole month." I say with a hidden tease on my words whilst my arms cross and my smirk never leaves my lips.
"I know, I didn't forget so don't worry. Now, don't look at my boyfriend like that."
"And yes, we'll be back next year so I will defeat you and my team becomes the champion." He scoffs as he clings his arms around Jinwoo. And so, I roll my eyes at him and look away without saying anything.
As I look at the window, I notice that the place hasn't so many cars traveling yet many people use a bicycle for their transportation than vehicles. I look back at Jungmin and Jinwoo, who's now nuzzling with each other. Then, I glimpse at Taehyung and he's wide awake with his earphones on his ear, listening to some music whilst starting outside. I reach his shoulder and tap to get his attention. He looks at me and hums as his answer.
"Do you have work?" He nods, replying to my answer.
"Can I go with you or can I work with you? Since I'm in an online class, I want to try something new." I say whilst grinning.
"Do you want to work with me? Is it okay with your brother?" I scratch my scalp while thinking about my instant decision.
"I think he will." He sighs in defeat and slowly nods.
"Really? You want me to come with you?" He nods again.
"Yes, thank you. Anyways, where do you work?"
"At the coffee shop."
He then nods and Taehyung says, "We'll come after the play."
"Okay. Thank you, Tae." He just hums and looks again to the window as I go back to my position.
Suddenly, I notice Youngjae, who's standing at the park near to my apartment. I frown when seeing him smile in my direction as if he knows that I'm inside the car.
"Did he see me?" I whisper as my eyes follow his direction.
"Daewool, are your windows well tinted?" I ask Daewool, who's in the driver's seat.
"Yes, it's well tinted. Why do you ask?"
"Nothing, I noticed someone looking in our direction and what's odd was he smiled when we crossed his direction"
"I think it's just a coincidence, Minsoo," Daewool comments as he takes a glance at the mirror. Thus, Mingyu looks at me, smiling.
"Don't forget what I said to you, Minsoo," Mingyu warns besides the driver's seat as he turns his face to look at me.
"I won't forget, Mingyu so don't worry." He just nods and glances back at the window.
"Don't trust who's asking for my forgiveness," I whisper and sigh as I leaned my head to the window.
After a long travel, Daewool parks his van in the parking lot of the building. They all decided to move out beside our apartment to keep an eye on me which is very nice at the same time, it's inconvenient to them when knowing that they have their personal life.
I perceive that they are concerned about me and it's dangerous than before, yet I can't take any more risks when they get hurt. It's very tough for me to defer that they want me to be safe and protect me but I'm not doing anything for myself or them. So I'm reckoning, I could help them if they need me.
When we all get out of the car, Jungmin gives my luggage as we go to the elevator. Unexpectedly, my chest begins to clasps. I clutch my chest to ease the pain but it becomes worse when the elevator straight up to the floor of our apartment.
"J...jungmin." I try to call him as I clutch my chest while my other hand grasping the clothes of Jungmin.
"MinMin, are you okay?" They panic when seeing me almost faint.
Luckily, the elevator door opens and hurriedly, Taehyung carries me into a bridal and runs to my apartment. Shortly, he stops running so I look at Taehyung, who's very shocked. The pain inside my heart slowly fading away.
"I'm okay, please put me down," I murmur as I pat his shoulder and he slowly put me down as my feet touch the floor.
My eyes wide when I glance at the door. There are six-pointed stars, there's a perfect circle around the stars and the spaces between the pointed stars, there's a symbol that I couldn't understand. What terrifies me, someone uses blood—animal blood.
"W-what was that?" I stutter as I strive to attain the door, and when my finger fondles the door, I feel an electric shock around my finger. Then, Taehyung pushes me away from the door as Minseok catches me.
"STAY BACK!" We stay back when Taehyung lifts his arms as his blonde hair becomes black and his eyes change its color, from clear light blue into a black whilst a pitch-black enormous wings appear from his back as a light coming from his hands
"W-What i-is going on?" I ask myself as my eyes never leave at Taehyung.
"T-taehyung i-is a.." I stutter.
"I'm sorry, Minsoo. You shouldn't be seeing this." Mingyu says as he blocks his body for me not to see Taehyung. I tremble when Mingyu points his finger at my forehead.
"W-WHAT I-IS GOING ON!?" I shout as I strive to run away from him but Minseok hugs me from behind to halt me from running. I attempt to lose from his grip yet he's stronger than me so I don't have a choice to submit myself to him and don't fight back.
"It's for your own best, Minsoo." Seojun mumbles as his eyes close and light begins to appear coming from his finger. I feel my eyes heavy as all the surroundings become a blur and my body feels very light as if I'm floating into the air.
"Sleep well, my princess." I hear Seojun say but before my eyes shut close and as other memories gain from the past that always appeared before I pass out.
[I will always protect you no matter what. Even if it risks my position and even my life to keep you safe. I will do everything to make you happy my little princess. I love you and my love for you will never die.]
