Epilogue

"What do you mean you all failed! They all have the ability to open the doors, yet you all failed. Why? How did you idiots fail?" The Supreme stared at the mass of shadows flying around the throne room. "This is the first time, this has happened... You never failed before. What happened to make you fail?"

He sat on the throne with a dark expression. "Sorry brother, we tried... The one called Drummen... Someone actually kicked us out of him, so we never had a chance in the first place." The Supreme nodded silently. "What about the armsguard? We really could of used him for many things."

"Uhh... When I went to look into his mind, and find his greatest desire, there was nothing there. It was as if his while mind was empty, and if I stayed in there I would of being swallowed up by the nothingness. I felt that I would be absorbed and become a part of him... Not the other way around" The Supreme cursed, and walked around the throne room. "The girl heard us... She'll have to die."

"Yes, all the tribes have to die, they said that she's the key to their destruction." He nodded. "I know what he said, and I'm sure he has a plan for her, and to get her on our side. That still doesn't give you all excuses. What about the shadow?"

"I was killed by him... or by something in that ones mind... I'm glad, I don't think I would like being a mute... Boring, and know one would be able to hear anything I was saying." Supreme looked at the flying shadows. "SHUT UP!"

He took a long breath as the room fell quiet. He touched his chest and sighed. "This body doesn't have much time left before I must seek a new host. I'm sure the families enjoy seeing me cough up blood, and the attendants are scraping around for more information as to why I'm becoming sick." He turned to a shadow standing at the back of the room. "Marcule... Your experiments... Are they ready?"

"Ohh yes, they are. After that battle with the new guard, they've learned a lot... They are ready to strike, I already got them to destroy a few towns in the island chains for their base of operations." The Supreme smiled. "At least one thing is going well."

"Ahh... I'm glad the Supreme sees my work in great light." He turned to Marcule staring at him. "Don't start... Still not impressed that the new shadow was able to destroy them all in the swamplands... Do you call that a success?"

"I do... Do you know what happened in the swamplands?" The Supreme shook his head. "What happened?"

"Our firewarrior found the door... He'll be going back to the door." He looked at Marcule with suspicion. "How do you know that?"

"I saw through my pets eyes... He spoke to the door in the ancient tongue, and he was told to come back, once he has become strong enough... I think they'll open the doors." The Supreme raised an eyebrow towards him. "Why do you think that?"

"Because... If we talk about there is something behind those doors that will make them stronger, they'll open those doors for us, and we won't have to force them to do it, like previously..." The Supreme nodded in thought. "If that's the case, than what happened today isn't really a failure... Instead we should celebrate..." He turned to the other standing shadows at the back of the room. "The both of you are quiet for a change. What's on your minds?"

"She has grown... She already knows about Agnia... I'm sure it won't be hard to get her to move according to our will." The Supreme smiled. "So, we can't do what we did last time to force the doors open, so we'll have to let them stumble across those doors, like the firewarrior did, and they'll open them for us." The Supreme nodded with a smiled on his face and looked at the final shadow. "My queen... Are you ready for what is to come next?"

"I'm always ready, and my drones are ready to move as well... All is set to start the war..." He smiled and sat back down on the throne again rubbing his hands together. "Good... Cough... Cough... Blasted body... Too weak..."

"It's not the body my Supreme which are too weak... Its you... You've grown stronger, and the body can't hold you anymore... We should start to plan for the next..." The Supreme nodded and held the glowing jewel in his hands. "I noticed their shadow staring at the jewel... Do you think they know?"

"Not possible... There is no one apart from us in this room that know about it, and about whats behind those doors... That is certain..." The Supreme nodded and wiped the blood off his face with his robes... "If it needs to come to it, I'm sure we can place the blame on them as the cause, and send them to the firelands."

The Supreme nodded. "Than that's settled." He looked at the flying shadows with an angry look on his face. "I'm still mad at you all for failing... I don't like failure around me... If you do again, than I shall remove you... You all know I can do that?"

"Yeeeesssssss... We won't fail again brother... We'll complete the tasks that you give us." The Supreme nodded. "Good... Is our sea burrower ready for the next step in our plans?"

"Yes. It's currently sleeping on the sea floor after destroying the Nebi... Waiting for your command..." The Supreme smiled.

"The command is given... It can begin..."
